I got the gold with brown A1000 and matched it with a brown leather strap. Looks just perfect.

VARIO straps has exclusive leather straps for AE1200 18mm that will fit this A1000. They have several beautifull leather straps options. Look it up.

I'm usually a fan of NATOS but not so much in digitals, i love resin straps on metal watches but the original strap is also nice

We seem to have disturbingly similar taste. I bought a BN0106 the other day and was looking for reviews on KZfaq post-purchase when I found yours, and realised I’d individually seen 6 or 7 of your videos before, individually, just based on things I’ve googled. I’m also an ex-helicopter pilot, and my first ‘good’ Swiss watch was a titanium and gold Chronometre Aerospace, followed by an Aerospace Avantage, and B-1 and a number of early 2000’s Ana-digi’s.

Casio put easy on and off spring bars on a watch with 16mm lugs that are hard to find straps for? Interesting! Anyway, one day I might have to get the gold metal G-Shock square for kicks.

18mm is even still bad. It's a moot point, but why put easy on and off spring bars on a watch you would never change the strap for? 20mm are diving watch specs.

Thanks, this was very useful to a n00b. I was wondering if I could purchaise the dark coloured, negative face, one and get a repair shop to put a positive filter. Is that feasable/worth doing?

You can swap out the positive module from the much cheaper A700 into the A1000.

Hi, sorry for my ignorance, if I want a bracelet, do I just search for 18mm bracelets/straps and it should fit??

A generic bracelet should fit, but it might not look right. The original bracelet has a wider part that matches the outer width of the lugs.

The ends of the band (attached to the watch case) look like regular rigid links but the bottom is expandable 👏👏
