Thank you SO MUCH! Despite multiple attempts at programming, I had failed for over a YEAR to sync my car to my older Legacy garage door opener! Your video explained it so well. So glad I won't have to remember to constantly switch my garage door opener remote between cars any more!

Great video! Thank you! After I followed the instructions provided by Subaru for my Outback, not only did my Homelink not work, but none of my remotes or my keypad would work. I fixed the remotes and keypad, then used your video to correctly program my Homelink. Works Great! Thanks again!

I followed many versions of these instructions and after watching this, realized what I was doing wrong. Press the remote button first, then the Homelink button (while still holding it down). Other instructions said to press at the same time. That little difference made all the difference!

Just want to say thank you. Same as everyone else, for years i only try the 1st step which is either train the remote from the car or the car to the garage door but NEVER know it needs to do both in order for it to work with the new garage door system. Thanks again.

FINALLY, A VIDEO THATS SHORT, SWEET & TO THE DAGGONE POINT. I was having so much trouble syncing my hand held remote, the key pad, and home link so they'd all worked at the same time. Thanks for posting this video.

We were having many issues until we watched your video! After watching your video I was able to program 3 vehicles in less than 5 minutes! Most importantly is to press the Smart Button on Garage after you follow the proper procedure with remote!

Okay my luck has turned! I just left a whiny complaining comment on another Kia Sportage video. I was complaining about my situation and not the guys video. All you guys who put these videos out I love you! Your video couple with my rearview mirror wanting to cooperate has enabled me to program my garage door opener in less than 5 minutes. Dude... thank you, thank you, and thank you! Finally... a tutorial that explained all 3 steps! Everyone else gives you the first 2! I've been trying to get this to work for about a year! One additional note... is that on my 2015 Silverado... I had to point the remote opener towards the front of the Homelink panel. Simply pointing it at the Homelink panel from below wasn't enough to allow it to take the train. Thanks again!

Great, this directions actually worked. Follow the full 3 steps! Other directions seemed to indicate that you either do step 1 OR step 2. Not that if you have to do step 2 you also have to do step 1. Follow these directions if you have a rolling code garage opener (which most of the newer ones should be).

Ha, I love it. I love KZfaq! Thanks A1 Garage Door Service for this tutorial. This was my fix after spending 45 minutes trying to get my homelink in my 2016 Hyundai Tuscon to work with my Liftmaster. I was doing the 1 step and not the 2 step!

Hi Kip Raible, I have a 2016 Hyundai Santafe XL. I was wondering if I need to have the garage door opener in the car/close by after programming the home link for it to open the garage? Can I keep my garage door opener at home? would the car home link work if the garage door opener is not within reach when opening the garage. Thanks for your response

Worked like a charm on my 2013 Elantra with an old Craftsman opener! I needed the video walk-through, especially for Step #3. (Craftsman's "learn" button was called a "receiver" button back in the day."

This video finally got it to work for me. Follow exactly. And in order..... 1. Clear previous even if you already have. 2. Hold transmitter button and 1 key until light blinks 3. Hit the learn red button on the garage opener motor briefly, don’t hold it down. Under two seconds. 4. Go in car and hold down homelink button. Follow this exactly and all one right after another.
