Great video. Jack was great, the stalker was great but those camera men were awesome. To manage to make all that work with the equipment they had back then over such a terrain in such weather conditions was a feat.

All that was missing from this series was an episode called Jack's Game - La Resistence where Jack joins a local insurgent cell combing the countryside looking for traitors and collaborators

That Ghille would be Lee McNally, he wrote every week in the shooting times in the 80's.

Very interesting programme and old Jack Charlton as well, proper country TV I guess the like will never be made again. In these modern times the woke brigade wouldn't like to see guns or animals killed.

19:50 "Well...thats the easy part over!" Every deer hunter knows that couldn't be more true.

Such a stoic Scotsman the Guide was, for some people that would have been the hunt of a lifetime. Taking a deer in the woods is one thing, but this hunt was something that most hunters would pay a small fortune to do.

Does anyone know of what music is being played, please?
@RicTic664 жыл бұрын
It's English Northumbrian folk music. I don't know the titles but if you search KZfaq for Northumberland folk music you will probably find it. If not plenty like it. 😊

2 different stags, rigged for the camera! Still enjoyed the programme though. I watch this when it was first shown, i must be getting old.

Jack is a little bit of a softie. Guy just sits there watching whilst another man cleans his deer. Doesn't even help, then criticizes about how he was brought up, pffft
@paulmarshall44683 жыл бұрын
I didn't think he was all that soft. That was a lot of walking in wellies for a start and one can admire a man who has the courage to say "I don't know how to do that" Its a lot better than rushing in and getting green goo all over things. Let the expert shine.
