Very good idea. I have two old bycycles lying idle. Work needed be done to pump up my batteries of solar system with this mechanism.

That's a nice idea, though still a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT), which I feel is less valuable than a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) that would not have to be re-positioned into the Wind. Have recently watched a video of another gentleman making a VAWT with two Bicycle rims, and PVC Pipe cut in half for scoops. Though if you're just going to use that to power an LED light, then you could add a reflective parabola (from a "flash-light"). Also if you want to make a VAWT to power more than just a little LED light, try using a Car or Semi truck Alternator/Generator, with a True Sine-Wave Inverter. (for your 110/220 Volt appliances, or maybe a voltage regulator for 12 Volt devices and 12 Volt batteries.)

I have used a car radiator fan (12v DC) coupled to my exercise cycle to pump my solar system batteries. Working fine with couple of diodes in output wires to protect against current. reversal.

Semestinya....dihubungkan dg batery atau akumulator...sbg penyimpan arus....shg arus listrik stabil...& Ttp ad power ketika angin berhenti berhembus..., Bahkan pd siang hari bs charge baterai/ akumulator.

It would be interesting to see how much power this thing generates. Get a voltmeter somewhere and see what it makes at different wind speeds. Guess you could always make more than one of these and combine all the power if you needed more.

You need a small spring loaded pulley on the slack side of the belt - this will keep the tension in the belt and stop it from slipping.

weak project but enough effort to get maybe 2 watts of energy. Do the same with the larger wheel only and use a car alternator to get at least 12v. what you can easily charge the battery. And from the inverter 12v-240v get more current for some time. Or a 12v-19v converter would charge a laptop at least. Cool idea. The project is weak. Greetings.

Вы правы, аппарат не паворотный (изменения направления ветра - трындец), да и какова вырабатывается энергия - вот в чём вопрос. Издержек больше чем навара.
