I think JYP already decided to make KG debut. The most important vocal skills are definitely outstanding, so she is essential for the success of the new girl group. Unless there is a special problem, that is, an attitude problem, the debut is certain. I'm looking forward to her singing evaluation.

I was shocked! Mostly cause this is my first survival show with jyp so I didn’t know that was a thing! I love that she got the stone. I love her look and think she’ll be a great look to the group.

@motherserenity someone mentioned that KG's dancing went from like a -5 to a 2 and while a 2 isn't good I think she's definitely improved the most from where they started in the regional audition

When Jyp feels a huge potential, he can be severe, remember the case of Nayeon, ji hyo during sixteen and even Momo who becomes one of the best dancer in k-pop...

Or even Nizi Project's Miihi's often middle-of-the-pack rankings because while she was always objectively great, she wasn't demonstrating continued growth.

@dafunkk12 Riku was probably the unexpected dark horse to be from mid rank to top 2..she wasn't really the best dancer or singer but after she went through hard training in korea , her growth was impeccable..so I'm not surprised that someone in a2k will have the same situation

This evaluation is about improvement compared to regional auditions & fighting against oneself to prove your worth of being accepted, not to be better than the others, not to already be on the same level as artists yet. Their attitude will be judged too by what efforts they make to fix the flaws, how well they take criticism, we want to see the motivation. So it make sense that KG earned the stone. Some may be seemingly above her skills wise but they couldn't do what she did which is basically eating up her past. They got passion but they didn't serve much difference. Meanwhile KG was like one of those flowy balloons doing whatever goofy dance at auditions, probably unprepared. But now she was able to loosen up the atmosphere, enjoy herself, groove to the beat well. It's not the best but she delivered. Also she's a natural with the camera too, it didn't feel awkward.

Cant wait for Yuna and Gina dance next week.. definitely my top 5 so far was Lexi,Cristina,Yuna and Gina cant decide between Kg and Camila yet but well see how far they can go

On the first nizi project, a Jyp trainee called Yuna actually didn't make it into the group, so i wouldn't be so sure about Gina. Great reaction.

Are you kidding. Gins gets in. She is the most trained, JYP needs Kendall, KG and Gina to even out the diversity angel they are going for. Look for the rainbow my friend. A solid white girl, couple of mixed asian/white. Couple of latinas, and couple of part black girls. The American melting pot.

@@JoaoPFS01 I understand what you are saying. I saw the Nizi project too. However there is a big difference in Yuna and Gina. Besides the fact there are alot less contestants in A2K. JYP has groups that are quite large in number of members. They are going to need most of them. I’m sure KG Gina Christina Kendall Lexus and Yuna are definitely in. Savanna might get in. Kaylee might get in. And the cuban girl might get in. Im pretty sure Im right. The members will be at least 7 but I think 9 is possible. Gina would be comparable to Mako from Nizi project.

"Most trained" doesn't necessarily mean the most competent; people advance at different rates. Supposedly Gina had only been a trainee for 8mo at the time of filming, and most trainees take years to advance to debut project teams or even depart (either voluntarily or forcibly). While Gina is definitely not the ace that Mako or even Miihi were, she's (attitude-wise, at least) a step above (NiziPro) Yuna. I'd say (NiziPro) Yuna started on a higher technical level than Gina, but (NiziPro) Yuna kept fumbling performances, and her spirits were constantly being worn down over the course of the competition--a clear downward trajectory. I'd say as long as Gina keeps showing signs of improvement--and no degradation or critical performance hiccups--she'll be good to advance to the next round. Remember, at this boot camp, they're currently demonstrating a case for themselves to go into further intensive TRAINING in Korea by showing their aptitude/growth potential for improvement, and they don't need to be debut-ready just yet.

Mother Serenity. The reason why KG got the stone with that horrible dance is because JYP and Republic need a beautiful all american white girl in the group. They are just going to keep training her to be better. Whats a group without a white girl to target the largest demographic in America. Besides she is the best singer out of the bunch. If you look at the contestants you see diversity to target all the demographics of our country. These girls were partly picked from a marketing standpoint. All major corporations especially in music figures out who the customer is. Republic records get to capitalize on a new growing market segment, kpop in english and JYP gets to spread its wings and dominate the future music industry.
