A320 Chicago ORD to Portland, Oregon PDX landing

Landing at Portland International airport (PDX) from Chicago (ORD). Was about 99° out at the time of landing. In an Airbus 320. United Airlines

Most of the view in this video is actually Vancouver, Washington as the jet circled over Vancouver lake and then touched down at pdx airport just south of the Columbia river.

Yeah. I’m a Washingtonian and the islands near Seattle are astounding. Oregon is nice too.

On final, that is Mt. St. Helens to the west, and Mt. Adams to the east.

3:23 Airbus 320 shadow comes into view at left side of screen, moving across the brown field. Camera pans up at 3:57 and we lose shadow off the bottom of the screen.

The camera was more or less held steady. Looking at the winglet for a frame of reference, it was about the same position. The plane finished banking to the left, so the shadow was lost. The shadow is actually cool to see and something I will think about next time around flying.

I am not that familiar with Portland's runways. I think it's 10L. Closest to the river and parallel to 10R.

+Deathswalk NIce video and thanks for sharing!!! I will be flying into and out of Portland in May for the first time and am looking forward to hopefully good weather like in this video. But I will admit that I HATE coming into a landing over the water!
