#A330neo High-Altitude airport flight test campaign in Mexico and Bolivia

Our flight test team recently flew Airbus' #A330-900 to Toluca in Mexico, and then to La Paz in Bolivia where they conducted a fortnight long ‘Hot and High’ flight test campaign to prove aircraft and engine performance in high-altitude, warm and humid airport environments. I saw the A330-900 in the video of Josh Cahill in Bolivia and wondered why it would fly there. This answered my question! Crazy how much work goes into developing an aircraft!

With these types of performance high-humidity-hot terrain temperature conditios, an exclusive Andes Mountains South american enviroment special conditions, ther`s no way this aircraft can not operate in any world wide typical conditions. Here at Colombia , in 2008 we had the pleasure to be observers about this same testing programs, in the Rionegro International Airport, the Jose Maria Cordova, Antioquia Department or Regional State and the jetliner was the brand new A 380. Good show, Airbus Testing Program Staff. A salute from Bogota, Colombia, and long, long live to the A 330 Heavy Jetliner.

Yes. Better than the 787 in my opinion. 18 inches wide in economy vs 17 inched on the 787. Looks way cooler too. And those trent engines sound amazing.

Very nice. I would like to know the range of the new A330 Neo with max payload taking off at 8000ft - 12,000ft with a high gradient climb because of the terrain. If it can take off from La Paz, Cuzco or Quito and go to Europe then is a live changing achievement.

A350 was constructed for do competence with 777, but they already do with this plane and the 787. The "problem" of a350-1000 is the engines, could be this ones too. But airbus need to have something to work later. Like an 350neo

People argue over Airbus and Boeing too much. Europe’s Airbus is the same as America’s Boeing. Maybe there’s a luxury difference or similar things but it’s really not something to whine about until you get some backup knowledge.

finde die daten einblendung in sonnenschutz (oder pkw auf der windschutzscheibe) dumm ...nutzer verlernen kopfdrehung bzw. augenrollen hinzu kommt das flugzeuge alles doppelt/dreifach an info's darstellt was sehr überladen (reizüberflutung) wirkt ! ne damit würde ich nicht fliegen lernen wollen joystick nunja muß man sich dran gewöhnen
