After touchdown on runway 27R the cabin announcement of the stewardess on our British Airways flight from Washington DC to London Heathrow LHR.

I used to study in the UK and this really puts a smile on my face. I can never get this feeling when I take a flight in my country and hear announcements made by those who only speak English in their routine work.

This lady should be the head of cabin announcements for the whole world! It isn't often you can understand what the heck is being said on flights. Invariably the announcements are not loud enough and crew gabble on at double the speed of sound. Well done.

This is amazing. I can‘t describe it. I mean you hear English announcements on every airline and flight but combined with this British accent it‘s so amazing. Do they learn to make announcements with this British touch or do they just have it and it‘s our luck that this lady made it? Would really like to know

The Queen of the skies is and will be still the B747. You say it. But still the A380 is a great masterpiece of aviation too. Love to fly the upperdeck and yeah the cabin noise level is lower than on the B744s.

ojeeemineee but the cabin noise, the roar of four prats and the whine of the Apu are what make the 744 so great! It is an unavoidable thing that there will be a final flight at some point for the queen of the skies
