@@dmitrysobolev1968 а учили его те, кто получал образование в царской гимназии и других учебных заведениях . интересный факт - учебники для советской школы писали профессора, заканчивавшие царскую гимназию (где уровень образования был одним из лучших в мире), а профессора, воспитанные союзом написали то, что сейчас преподают в эрефии, и весь чиновничий аппарат родом из совка, бывшие комсомольцы

The sound will change soon. The new generation PS-90A-76 engine will substitute the old D-30КP2 for modernized Il-76-90A. The installation of fourth-generation engines PS-90A-76 can significantly improve the operational efficiency of the aircraft due to: - 12% reduction in specific fuel consumption - increase the flight range by 18% - reduce direct operating costs - operation possibilities from high-altitude airfields and in high temperature conditions - compliance with noise levels and emissions of modern ICAO standards

Boo I like the Soloviev D-30's. They already have models with the perm or Aviadvigatel ps-90s. The il-76MD-90 and il-76TD-90 are re- engined with the new engines. You are saying all will be re-engined soon? It's still in production so I'm sure they are making new ones as well with the new engines.

Not, it will not. In 2020, D-30KP-2 was modernised to be more reliable and serve for longer, increasing its resource from 6500 flight hours, 3375 cycles to 9500 flight hours, 4875 cycles. And after that, they decided to keep D-30KP-2 modernisirng it to 2020 version of it, so no, we will be hearing this majestic sound for long time

Давеча провожал своих в Толмачево, ну стою жду, наблюдаю за частью лётного поля вернее перрона, жду пока самолет улетит. На поле обычная аэропортовая суета, взлетают, садятся периодически Арбузики, Бобики, где то вдалеке гоняется Ту-22м3, периодически прогазовываясь. Идиллия. И тут, где-то за забором проснулся Ильюша и начал запускать свои двигатели поочерёдно, а потом прогазовывать. И идиллию как бы сразу отодвинуло на третий план, пространство вокруг, всё, без исключения наполнилось упругим пением четырёх соловьевских Сирен, пустого места больше не осталось ни миллилитра. Невольно захотелось сделать два раза КУ.

that is a somewhat elderly jet but along with the Antonov planes made in Kiev, it is big but they have been known for large aircraft. :)

Наша семья жила в Ташкенте на массиве 40-лет победы на 5-м этаже, возле аэродрома Тузель и ТАПОиЧ , и эти ил76-ые каждый день по 20 рейсов выполняли + новые самолёты с чкаловского завода облётывались, над домами махалёй низко летали, и эти звуки реверса так громко разносились по району , особено в ночи, ..... страшно было :)

What a coincidence: I was on that Swiss Avro RJ100 (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d995hN1h1dfSj2Q.html) plane when IL-76 rolled by, and also when it had a tail-strike in LCY airport upon landing on August 18, 2007 (www.sust.admin.ch/inhalte/AV-berichte/HB-IYU.pdf). Supposedly it had another incident in 2016 with the engine bleed air switch. There are only two airplanes of Swiss International Airlines that carry that Star Alliance design.

Actually some IL-76's have been updated to the newer Aviadvigatel PS-90A engine but this one sounds like it still has the old Soloviev D-30 engines. Note the long ramp up time where they crank them to half power, sit there for a minute then go full power which is very characteristic of the D-30. Other Soviet era planes that use the D-30 like the TU-154 do the same thing. This was a contributing factor in the TU-154 crash that killed the Polish President in 2010 whereas when the crew realized they were in trouble and commanded full power but it took to long for the D-30's to respond. They do sound great though!

You forbid these planes to fly to Europe, thereby killing the domestic aircraft fleet, having pushed through their Boeings and Airbases to us. And now the amazing sound? Well, would listen to this wonderful music right in their heads! ))

Very similar in design to the west C-141 Starlifter. Bear in mind the reason e Starlifter having a high rear tail plane is the fact of the power of the engines. The wing would literally fly off with a low tail plane. The same is likely true for the 76. Also the first engine used on the 141 was the same as the F-104 Star fighter x 4. A lot of power for the day.

Not bad for a vodka burner knockoff of the old C-141. Those old planes are beautiful though... Wasn't the purpose of glass in the bottom of the nose to be used for converting it into a bomber in the event the Cold War went Hot?
