What if I tell you this song is sung by a Muslim including the mantra in the beginning. Ancestors of the same singer must have learnt this art of Raga and Indian classical music from Hindu Pandits. That's how our music evolved. This is the beauty of our great country. Let's preserve it.

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement" Quran (8:12) - "(Remember) when your Lord inspired the angels... "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle, given that it both followed and preceded confrontations in which non-Muslims were killed by Muslims. The targets of violence are "those who disbelieve" - further defined in the next verse (13) as those who "defy and disobey Allah." Nothing is said about self-defense. In fact, the verses in sura 8 were narrated shortly after a battle provoked by Muhammad, who had been trying to attack a lightly-armed caravan to steal goods belonging to other people. Quran (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion is all for Allah" Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..." Quran (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." Actions speak louder than words and islamic actions since Mohammad to osama, taliban and isis proves that islam is intolerant and hateful cult and above verses are true

Vab Chandani you are accurate in your assessment. Urdu is a combination of three languages mainly: sansikrit, farsi (persian) and arabic. So when the muslims came to The subcontinent, it give birth to this new and beautiful language that allowed possibly the best poetry in the world. For example Alamah Iqbaal’s work. Its like almost a perfect language since it took bits and pieces from Various languages who were already rich languages to begin with.

I had goosebumps while listening to this song in the plex. bajirao mastani , and ram-leela is the kind of movies that i want to watch again and again , a true dramatic emotionnal art , so sensual work invested by the entier cast and the making crew , from the first time i saw ranveer in band baja baraat i knew he got it , and i never was a fan of bollywood movies before that , this guy is different ,a fresh air of talent and devotion in acting we miss in nowdays cinema . i hope he will never miss a good choice in his career or to be mislead by the fame .

Beautiful amalgamation of two cultures shown in form of lyrics where on one hand we are saying magalam bhagwaan vishnu while on the other hand we are saying Aaj ibadat and addressing to maula. Also an excellent composition based on raag yaman
