As a Pakistani I was grown up listening to this ghazal from the original singers Habib Wali(male) and Fareeda Khanum Gee( Female) voices . Sonu Kakkar has the best version I have ever listen after Fareeda Gee.

I hear this song so many times. It touches my heart more than any other song. There is so much love in this song. Sonu has sung this so beautifully. So far I like this song in her and Arijit’s voice the most 🙏🏽

👍💯💯 correct. As a Pakistani, I can confirm that. She has properly learned Urdu pronunciation from some senior Urdu language teacher/ ustaad.. Singing WAQT, she made it hoarse/heavy and from down throat or halq as we call it in Urdu/Hindi. That's proper delivery way. Saying Zindagi, she whisteled z, 👍💯 proper way for rhyming z. Her words delivery is to perfection. She is no joke or a naive singer as others present there but as mentioned, has hard learned and perfected everything
