Your sentiment is respected. Don't take it wrong. Hindi is not the mother tongue of anyone in the Indian Union. Hindi spoken in India is called Urdu in Pakistan. Only the writing is different. Spoken language is the same. Urdu means military camp in Turkish. Urdu is a collection of languages used by the Muslim soldiers of various Central Asian countries. After they conquered North India, they merged with the local languages to form present day Hindi. In short, Hindi is a nomadic language. There is a separate mother tongue requirement for your state. By destroying it they have imposed Hindi. So your mother tongue cannot be Hindi.

The actual word for tamil in tamil is "தமிழ்" which in proper English should be tamizh. "த" = ta, "மி"=mi and "ழ்"=zhi or just zh (ழ is a unique word for which u cant find directreplacement in other language). Pronounciation=Zha - la

You felt more connected to the Feelings of the Song that we were trying to Convey. You holded on to your Tears when you saw the True Indian/Tamil Culture in the Song. Tamil language had different types of "L" sounds english letters doesn't give that sounds properly. Tamizh and Tamil both are same and both gives the same sounds. To bring the proper sounds of "L" we use zh. Zh = L sound. When you pronounce it L your tongue should touch upper part of inner mouth. TAMIL has three types of L sound. Hope I made you understandable

Zh - L Zha - La Zhi - Li But the reason why we use "zh" is to get proper pronuonce of "L" for som letter in our language. Ex. Oraly say tamil but actually say thamizh ( zh mean proper tounge fold "L")

@@Hope-xb5jv lol ofc i would be.. Ik i didn't achieve anything to be proud of and just got to be born in this land but One should appreciate their own culture n heritage of their own land n language. Who else would do it? It's wrong when I say other cultures are not as great as this.. Well I didn't say that. At the end of the day we are all humans and mostly we just harvest what our ancestors did and I don't find anything wrong in it. It's as simple as that.

Tamil people are not just in Tamil Nadu of India. They are pretty much all over the world now, like scattered across Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Europe, USA, Canada, UK etc. But of course most of them are in India. I just wanted to say this (haven't read all the comments, but assuming no one has mentioned this). I'm Tamil too, and proud of that but not Indian. Parents were born in Sri Lanka and I'm UK. Sorry if my comment offended anyone!😅
