I A M J O KING a mexican american singer .
@adriene21906 жыл бұрын
I A M J O KING Selena Quintanilla Perez was a Mexican American Singer. Known as the Queen Of Tejano, she broke records that changed Mexican music forever. Selena was born April 16, 1971. As a little girl, she would sing a lot of English songs. There is a clip somewhere on KZfaq you can watch. Its Selena at the age of nine singing in front of a band. When they noticed Selena's talent, They made a group called Selena Y Los Dinos. In 1987, Selena won the best Mexican American vocalist. She would win that award for the rest of her life. Selena Y Los Dinos wrote a song called 'Como La Flor' that song hit the charts in November of 1992. Soon, she would sing that song at EVERY concert she was at. Selena wrote an album called 'Amor Prohibido' which sold over two million copies. Soon, Selena would write thousands of hits like Amor Prohibido, No Me Queda Mas, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, and so much more. Selena talked about writing a English album, and she start working on it around November 1994. March 9th, 1995, Selena noticed that her biggest fan, Yolanda Saldivar, was stealing money from her. Selena didn't believe what had happened. March 31st, 1995, at 10-11 A.M, Selena walked to a hotel with Yolanda bitch hoes. Selena and Yolanda argued for papers that had all of Selena's money. Yolanda bitch hoes gave Selena the suitcase. As Selena was looking through the suitcase, Yolanda pulled a gun out, Selena saw the gun, and ran out the door as fast as possible. Yolanda shot Selena in the back. Selena ran screaming 'Help Me, I've Been Shot!' Selena made it to the lobby of the hotel, screaming at the client's to "close the door, or she would shoot her again. " The client's immediately called 911. She was sent to the hospital. They worked on Selena for an hour, noticing that as soon as she made it to the hospital, that she was already gone. Selena was pronounced dead 1:05 P.M. Selena was only 23 years old. After her death, Selena's English album, Dreaming Of You, sold over 7 million copies, making it the best selling cross over language album of all time.

@BrandonsBeatz6 жыл бұрын
The comparisons are not just between them. It has to do with how simple and beautiful the 90s and early 2000s were. Plastic surgery was taboo, lip syncing was banned and could get you into a lot of crap and so much more. People are reaching back into the past to when music started to loss its self. I have long said the 90s and possibly the early 2000s is when music died. Now anyone can be a singer without being able to hit notes, write there own music, using computer generated programs to alter the voice and more. Back in the day celebrities or singers actually sat down to read fan mail they would reply and send autographed pictures as well. They held meet and greets to meet fans without charging money. Had concerts that were affordable for there fans. We have reached a peak within the industry were celebrities make more money and have more fans without needing the respect of there fans. Just my personal thought.

Kristy Mendoza that’s an insult tbh. Her style is more urban/R&B. Aaliyah was an R&B singer who was becoming a big pop star before she passed. Aaliyah physically looked like a model & was very beautiful/photogenic with rare features. Zendaya would be a better comparison.
