In 2003, Aaron Boone became a Yankee legend despite never playing a full season with the team. His walk-off home run in game 7 of the ALCS sent the Yankees to the World Series and the Red Sox home. But sometimes, it takes a lot of little things to make something big happen. So, lets take a look at the little things that made this moment possible.

What was really heartbreaking about this year was that the Chicago Cubs were also making a hard drive towards their first World Series appearance in a while, but would wind up losing the NLCS. We could have had a Red Sox-Cubs series in 2003 with both teams getting a chance to break their respective curses. It could have been one of the greatest World Series of all time.
