First was Jackson and now Robert for God's sake Aaron also deserves to be happy.

Say what you want about Robert, but it's been made very clear that he not only loves Aaron, but also worries about him, coddles him, and understands his triggers. There is no way, based on the way they've been written for years, that Robert would just back to back inflict this much damage. I pretty much never complain about writing on TV shows that I watch (especially soaps) because it makes more sense to simply stop watching if the writing is a deal-breaker, but this storyline categorically makes no sense. Unless we believe that Robert's been pretending to care about Aaron this whole time. I mean, I can totally see Robert initiating a divorce, for Aaron's benefit or even for out-of-sight-out-of-mind reasons, in a year or more (Robert is def fickle), but right now it's just cruel, and Robert isn't cruel to Aaron (not these days anyway).

Omg Danny miller's acting is outstanding this heart breaking to watch is pain and emotions come across so real I hope the writer put it in where Robert writes to Aaron explaining why he's doing this 14 years is along time and he promised Aaron the best life and this is Robert giving him that I believe any way but it is still heartbreaking to watch Aaron and Robert best TV couple ever

So Robert is just going to sit in a cell for 14 years with zero visitors, letters, commissary, phone calls or anything at all? Wtf, Robert?

He didn’t deserve that. I hope we get to see more of Cain and Aaron together though.

The biggest plot hole in this was that no-one tried to change Robert's mind. He probably wouldn't have, and Vic was a useless selfish cow at this point but the Aaron we know would've been on the first ferry to the Isle of Wight and camped outside the prison until Robert caves.

They are going to be losing a lot of viewers

The whole divorce thing is such poor writing.

I know everyone seems to be mad at Robert for putting Aaron through this but I really don’t think he’s trying to hurt him. For the same reasons he handed himself in and blocked contact, he is trying to set Aaron free. Maybe it seems too soon to file for divorce but he just wants Aaron to move on with his life and be happy. I’ve seen people describe this as cruel but Robert loves Aaron so much and this will be breaking his heart too. He’s doing it so Aaron can have a better life even though it’ll make his own worse. Like obviously this is hard for Aaron but he actually has the chance to move on and be happy, Robert doesn’t. So I’m just saying I think we should give Robert the benefit of the doubt. Although it hurts he’s doing what he thinks is best for the people he loves.

Well, a very sad ending for one of the best love histories ever. I really didn't want to see this. I knew these were the last episodes together and i just could not handle it. I saw many comments from everybody saying they lost their touch, i didn't want to believe it but it's true. Even when everybody kept saying that they looked more like friends than a couple in their everyday life, i kept saying to myself that it was normal, true love developes like that, after the phase of lust, real love is just stay there for each other. But this, this is just awful, because they are actors, and if they had problems, if they just could not get along, it should not had matter, they knew fans adore them, they knew we loved them, and they should have give their best. Their last kiss was horrible, the very last kiss and they just couldn't give the best of themselves, not just for them, for their jobs, for the chracters that made people fall in love with them, for the fans. It just broke my heart. And I know it is a soap, i know they are fictional, i know they dont exist in real life, but still, still it hurts. I still remember their first kisses, they were bad 😂, always one of them with the lips sealed, but the moment, the feeling, the acting, the tension was always there to fill, and we bought it and believed it, and fell in love with them. Now, they are just gosths of a couple that could have been the best of the best. I did not like the end of it, i would have prefered if Robert had died, i know they choosed ths way to keep the door open for Robert (Ryan) to come back, but let's face it, it won't happen. I could not imagine Robert without Ryan, he owned that character, but he is in debt with us, with the fans. We, Robron, their story deserved better. I'm just heartbroken.

i dont think robert wanted to divorce aaron out of spite, he just wanted aaron to move on with his life and not be stuck visiting him possibly for the rest of his life. I really wish they didn’t end the robron era like this though, it feels like they couldn’t get rid of robert quick enough to be honest...

I think the writers did a good job with the storyline as sad as it is but the actor wanted to leave so they had to come up with something why he won't be on the screen.

The sooner the better 💔 This is Robert's style, they can get married again If Aaron is still single after those 14 years though so what's the point of being married with someone you can't see, touch, and not even talk? This is just the best for both tbh

Ok come on this is too much... le divorce, ça ne fait juste pas de sens, c'est beaucoup trop rapide... Man, Robert tu sais comment Aaron peut être fragile et avoir de la difficulté à gérer les émotions intenses et tu demandes le divorce en sachant très bien qu'Aaron risque de se désorganiser 20 fois plus après... je comprends l'argument où tu ne veux pas qu'Aaron gâche sa vie et tu veux lui rendre sa liberté, mais là sérieusement ça ne fait juste pas de sens. Vraiment très mauvais scénario de la part des auteurs :(

I saw the divorce coming. I was hoping it wouldn’t. Reality wise Ryan left. We don’t know when or if Robert will every come back. Maybe the writers think Aaron needs a new man. Character wise glad he isn’t dead but this really sucks!!! Also here in America on Days of our lives a few years ago Sonny decides to leave. So what do they do with Will? They kill him off. Sonny comes back a year or so later and everybody is telling him he needs to be with Paul! Luckily they fixed their mistakes and brought Will back alive.

There are so many other ways this story line could have gone. Disappointing the writers chose this route. Being separated from Robert was going to be painful enough, having Robert divorce Aaron will destroy him. Poor and inconstant writing.

I feel sorry in advance for the next character / actor who is going to be paired with Aaron. There is no change in hell they are going to have the same chemistry as robron did. He will be compared to Robert/Ryan all the time and majority of robron stans are not going to ship them. Sure there is that group of Aaron/Danny stans who hated Robert and the fact how successfully Ryan played him. They can't wait for Aaron to get his next man. But when it eventually happens they will be happy for 2 weeks until this other guy looks Aaron in a wrong way and again they will start crying their "A. deserves better" mantra. And who the next guy will be...? Well my guess he is going to be Billy. Aaron will eventually hug him gay. Or they will retcon some prison romance for them.

SO STUPID!! Robert wouldn't act this way given everything we know! Why develop a character who 2 months previous was desperate for his husband to stay together and not fall apart then this. It's just shoddy writing and awful

This story-line is bullshit ... why do they do this to the fans? They just want to sow how smart they are but it's super distressing for fans. I'm going to stop watching ... much too much heartache when it could have been handled so much better and not upset us all.
