@@cavmain920 I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but I'll give you a detailed answer anyway. There are several names that would all be accurate and some overlap. You could call it a choke hold. There are many choke holds and this is one. Rear arm choke is more precise. You can also call it a rear naked choke. "Naked" means he's not using any part of his jersey or Bouchard's jersey to help establish the choke; he's only using his arm. In the UFC you used to see fighters wear gis (Jiu Jitsu and Karate uniform) and sometimes a fighter would use part of his gi to establish a choke hold. A fighter could also use one or both lapels of his opponent's gi to establish a choke hold. You rarely see fighters wear gis anymore because no one wants their gi to be used against them. When you do a rear arm choke /rear naked choke you have 2 options. You can tighten the bicep and forearm muscles to put pressure on the carotid arteries in which case the choke is also called a blood choke (George Floyd died from a blood choke. The cop kneeled on Floyd's right carotid artery) or if you're using your right arm as Ekblad is, you can put your left hand on the back of the person's head and push the head forward into the elbow joint of the right arm to put pressure on the trachea or you can do both. With the padding that they wear on the arms, tightening the muscles and pushing the head forward might both be unnecessary. From the video, there's no way to tell if Bouchard is feeling pressure on his trachea or one or both of his carotid arteries or both arteries and the trachea. Ekblad's technique is actually pretty bad because the elbow joint is supposed to be directly in front of the chin but with all the padding on the arm, proper technique might be unnecessary for it to hurt. Bouchard taps out so he's in some pain and can't breathe properly. Sleeper hold is a stupid name invented, I think, by professional wrestling back when it was called WWF. They used that name to make it sound harmless which, of course, it's not. So, yes, rear arm choke is the technical term. I did Karate and Jiu Jitsu for 14 years. Did I answer your question? LOL.
