He’s a great player, I give him that. Not a true Yankees and about to sign with Giant, he decline two Yankees offers one in April and another one in late November for 320 million for 8 years. Derek Jeter is a true Yankees, who didn’t trying going else to a Team who offer him the biggest salary contract

Scting like you are open to changing teams is pretty acceptable, and a normal behavior. But it's taboo to own up to it on the day you are introduced as the Yankee captain. Well, IMHO, he deerves the title, he deserves to be a lifetime Yankee, he deserves everybody's respect. But he don't deserve the huge money. But since it's Hal's, I got no problem with that!

There's no doubt in my mind the team is already championship caliber. Every team that has ever won a championship still loses games, loses series and have bad weeks. The Yankees are right up there with the top teams. Ten billion dollars still can't buy a championship, there is always a chance for underdogs to come through and win epically. As a team you want to have the best chance but thinking that only the team that won the championship is championship-caliber is pretty obtuse. Judge didn't say anything to that effect, I'm just taking issue with how some talking heads and fans spin it

@@SkYwAlKeR420blksqd I love them both, especially Derek, but now that Judge has gained an astronomical contract and anoints as the new Captain, he has to prove himself worthy by doing everything he can to assist the Yankees in winning a Championship next year. Jeter accomplished those triumphs five times, and it's Aaron's turn to stop the winless droughts spiraling for thirteen years from 2010 to 2022.

As a diehard Yankee fan I think we gave him too much money. We are going to watch the entire decline of his career and the fans are going to be booing him by the end of April. 65+ million next year for judge and Stanton to potentially strike out 450 times
