Out of Adele's songs, this is the one that really feels like it belongs in a musical. Aaron did it proud.

The thing I love most about how Aaron performs is that when he sings, he sings with his whole entire being. If you watch him sing a song like this, you'll notice even in the instrumental breaks he is totally immersed in the character he's embodying as he's singing. It's what makes his performances so captivating and why I could truly watch him singing all day long.

aaron’s voice cracks are intentional guys. it’s called vocal cries or vocal breaks i think. it’s just a lil stylistic choice from his side. his voice isn’t breaking unintentionally.

It was open mic at the Musain. Everyone used to tease Enjolras that he was incapable of feeling, let alone unrequited love. Then they saw him perform this, and it struck them that all that revolutionary passion, channeled towards another person, looked awfully like heartbreak. Grantaire was not at the Cafe that evening, and so the ships, once again, pass each other in the night.

I will leave my heart at the door I won't say a word They've all been said before you know So why don't we just play pretend Like we're not scared of what's coming next Or scared of having nothing left Look, don't get me wrong I know there is no tomorrow All I ask is If this is my last night with you Hold me like I'm more than just a friend Give me a memory I can use Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do It matters how this ends 'Cause what if I never love again? I don't need your honesty It's already in your eyes And I'm sure my eyes, they speak for me No one knows me like you do And since you're the only one that matters Tell me who do I run to? Look, don't get me wrong I know there is no tomorrow All I ask is If this is my last night with you Hold me like I'm more than just a friend Give me a memory I can use Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do It matters how this ends 'Cause what if I never love again? Let this be our lesson in love Let this be the way we remember us I don't wanna be cruel or vicious And I ain't asking for forgiveness All I ask is If this is my last night with you Hold me like I'm more than just a friend Give me a memory I can use Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do It matters how this ends 'Cause what if I never love again?

During the chorus, in the “this is my last”, is he belting or mixing the “last”?
@elliott90274 жыл бұрын
well, belting can include a good chest mix, he started to get into chest mix way before the "last", A mature broadway singer always always use chest mix as low as they can go to make the belting powerful and effortless. I get into my chest mix around C4, sometimes B3. now you go figure!

It's probably the camera that recorded this, but 54 Below could really use a great sound engineer. Someone that Streisand would approve. That said, Aaron's vocals are amazing. Not too many male singers who can transition to head voice so elegantly. But what on earth is Aaron wearing? Why does he look like he just came from the gym? Was this a rehearsal?
@DeeFightingDreamer2 жыл бұрын
What are you on about? It's a normal sweater and jeans. It's a gig at the bar, what did you expect him to wear?
@KJ_nyc2 жыл бұрын
@@DeeFightingDreamer No star should be wearing a "normal sweater and jeans." Blah. The bar isn't in some basement in Ohio. I want my leading men in Prada or Gucci. Nothing less.
@amberjazmyn2 жыл бұрын
@@KJ_nyc okay umm, i'm pretty sure aaron is well equipped in dressing himself. he doesn't need you or anyone to judge. he looked absolutely fine in what he was wearing, he still looked good and what does that have to do with anything? just curious why you're so concerned about an outfit someone else is wearing for their own gig. make it make sense.
@KJ_nyc2 жыл бұрын
@@amberjazmyn There is no "making sense" in today's lazy society, unfortunately. Too many young people don't care about refined culture and details. Everything has to be quick and easy, and flip-flop comfortable. I come from the old school of "presentation is everything." If you want to sing in your living room for friends, fine, wear a t-shirt. If you're in a NYC nightclub selling $100 tickets, work a little harder please, and show some respect for the presentation, respect for yourself, and respect for the audience who is paying to see you. It really is that simple.
@amberjazmyn2 жыл бұрын
@@KJ_nyc well, that was for your time which has gone out of style and he did work hard, sorry that he can't please everyone. he does respect himself and everyone else, you're only seeing what you want to see which is why you felt the need to make a comment on it when you could have easily ignored it and gone on your way.
