AMAZING how 1 season turns AWB into this. WORLD CLASS. I do really think he might be the next of likes Maldini, Puyol. Those monstrous tackler, with precision and efficient. Not comparing to those GOATs, but i'm saying that AWB is slowly shaping into become the likes of those if he keeps on doing like this. So excited to see a very QUALITY defender nowaday. These tackles he made are not normal, he's a gifted Tackler.

Even though I agree that he doesn't have great offensive output, he still is arguably a better attacker than Dalot. He overlaps far more and is probably just as good a crosser (Dalot is poor). What Dalot excels at is in the first phase of play in progressive passing, but that isn't "offensively" per se.

Wan Bissaka is a beast but lets not downplay dalot here, hes more of a versatile fullback than wan bissaka, the ten hag style of football required a fullback that can fold in with the midfield at times but also lash forward to overlap with their wingers in attack, and thats something Dalot can offer better than wan bissaka, hes not as good as wan b at defensive play but Dalot is an important player in building up attack and keeping a high line in the opponent half, hence nowadays he plays a left back since shaw has been moved to an emergency center back and malacia not quite ready for the physical stress of PL yet

Been saying he’s brilliant for years even when it’s been unfashionable. He’s not always been in great form but not has any player. Sheeple listen to a narrative then join in. Happy to be in a minority of one. But happy everyone’s onboard now. He just needs to chase back when he loses possession

I always loved him even wheb he was behind Dalot (and rightfully so)... but he has forced the issue. I am just Dalot is dynamic and can play on both sides, so he can get playing time with depth issues. I love Dalot, but AWB just made the situation really hard for ETH 😂

He like to run... cover huge ground... CBs don't get as much freedom to go forward as Full backs do... full backs are basically wingers in today's game... only difference is to be able to not be caught on the counter offensive...
