Andy, yours vids are always considered and fair. You should be asked by the various shooting mags to review air guns. A professional and, dare I say it, academic aproach is much needed in this field. Great review. I went for the HW100bpk. I’ve noticed ‘Play’ in the pistol grip when the scope is mounted. Not too impressed - even after all bolts tighten up.

What about the Hatsan Gladius? I have 6 (if you can include the Beretta CX4 Storm as one of them) bullpups and think the Gladius is still a great gun for the money, it might need a bit of trigger work to change it from the factory settings that requires a tear down but that's a good excuse to smooth any sharp edges on the linkage and lubricate the gun thoroughly anyway. I'm left handed but still have no problems using this rifle (unlike most of the rifles you mentioned) , it comes with four metal magazines, storage on the gun for all of them, a nice purpose built hard rifle case, a proper sling and plenty of spare seals, tools and filler adaptors. A very rugged rifle with adjustable cheek rest and adjustable shoulder pad, loads of weaver rails, integrally suppressed, removable air cylinder so you can carry charged spares etc... for £550.

Great review Andy but you could have included the Zbroia Kozak. Just over £500, regulated and an action very close to the Hw100. With an HW silencer fitted it is almost silent in operation. Plain un stippled stock that is nicely contoured for grip. I have the 440 which is a few inches longer that the 340( my therory being longer barrel, better accuracy). Now the leak problems have been sorted(wrong lube on seals). Try one.

I agree, the brocock isn’t really a bull pup. The action needs to be further back to be considered a bull pup IMO.

Oh, man. Just gotta love these AAR videos. 😊😊 -Of the PCPs, the Walther Reign still calls to me the most. I do like the looks very much. Many others probably do not like the plastics on it , but I do. Nice that the air canister is hidden in there since it not being of those cylindric aircan tubes.. I do not recall seeing that Artemis before (dunno how come). But it looked nice - and the price was definitely right. But since being a single shot only - I'd stay with my break barrel.

Best bullup is the one you like. For me bullup airguns are ok, and/or would like to how they work, and/or why was this made it looks wired as heck and/or is actual a pistol format of the gun with a stock (which is a actual thing), and/or lastly is not need as much as some people think.

Since you're FAC licensed,you should get a Benjamin bulldog,about 2 yrs ago is when i got into airgunning,for a unknown reason,a video,kinda like yours... I had never seen anything other than cheap box store guns before,so i ordered one,just because it wasn't something i could even see at a gun store,or anywhere other than online,so it,a hand pump,a box of noslers and some JSB pellets that were recommended.. It came,i pumped it up,went outside to see how it shot (no sighting if any kind,so shot it like i would a shotgun at a very close target,i was absolutely silent,speechless actually..i was hooked,now o know there are even larger caliber ones but after doing research on others before i bought that one,that for the price,count shot,and range of game that could be taken with it..its really a top notch shooter for hunting larger game....,precise.... Ehe... Accurate,yes..

I own a Walther Reign in .177 and it's unreal how accurate it is. Head shots on Rabbits out to 50 - 60 yards using H&N Barracuda Extremes are child's play.

Interesting review Andy. I built a bulpup stock for my .22 Webley FX 2000. Fitted with a Robert Lane reg, it achieves some impressive results both in accuracy and shot count. I'm currently planning to build a similar stock for my FAC Huntsman Regal action. My problem is this... Robert Lane suggested for the sub 12 FX2000, to have the scope axis 90mm over the bore axis. This gives plenty of room for your head to get a clear picture through the scope. Now, the FAC, bought specifically for its flat shooting, allows a scope to sit much lower over the barrel. Unfortunately there's no room for your head to get a clear picture through the lense, unless I go semi bulpup. Not ideal as the object is to shorten the rifle asmuch as possible! My next port of call is to offset the point of view by an inch to the side. I'm experimenting with the double prisms found I binoculars. Spotter scopes have an angled exit for the image. Do you have any suggestions? Many thanks, D

Love your reviews even if you are across the pond. This one was especially interesting. I do wonder if you have considered doing a high end bullpup review/comparison; i.e. say the FX Wildcat, the AA Galahad and the Weihrauch HW100. Thanks and keep up the great work.

The probably don't even have Sub 12 foot pound versions of those guns. It is sad what the UK Subjects put up with. Glad we still have some of our natural rights here, but if you think we are Free, We are just at different levels of slavery. To bad people don't desire to defend their Freedom. Fear makes Slaves of everyone I suppose. Not legal advice.

…and that’s actually the “problem”… it’s too powerful and semi auto in plus, therefore out of legal reach for must UK shooters, stuck on sub 12 fpe. Imho very few airgunners have an FAC license in Great Britain

Great review Andy,for me it would be the HW100 every time,although i am biased with that decision being a HW100kt owner,ref the FX Bullpup you'll has much hope as Bop Hope seeing one in the shops anytime soon,i'll hazard at a guess of 2020 before they are freely available.

we don’t have coyotes in the U.K., but we do have foxes, and I wouldn’t use one to shoot a Fox.Over here we would use a Center fire or rim fire rifle.

Picked up a .25 and have been absolutely exploding rat heads since. Created a diy nightscope from a Webcam that pipes into my mounted phone as a heads up display. Sinks half ways though a 2x4 😁👍

I upgraded to PCP from springer a few months ago. I had a Remington Tyrant .22 (Tactical). Loved the Tyrant but it was only single-shot, besides the fact it was pretty loud and not the most accurate of rifles due to the mechanical recoil; I decided to go for a PCP. Originally I was hoping to buy a Weihrauch 110K but it'd take too long to save the £850. After watching and reading loads of reviews it seemed the Walther Rotex RM8 kept coming up time-and-again; the majority of reviews/tests were overwhelmingly positive for leisure and vermin control, particularly so regarding accuracy and quality of the RM8 for the price. My local dealer had only one RM8 .22 in stock but it was the new RM8 Compact, making it a Carbine rifle not a regular length product. Undeterred I went for it and was so glad I did. My springer scope transferred straight to the RM8's 11mm dovetail rail and the underside of the forestock has a moulded picatinny rail which holds my bipod. The eight round mag is easily refilled and the gun is not pellet fussy, although it does perform much better with JSBs especially Jumbo Exact and JSB Hades. The Hades in particular make eight

I knew guy at the club made his own gun a bullpup. In the 1980's It was a now old 1980's Titan. I guess Harry was way before his time. Made his own stock and scope rail and trigger mechanism. It truely was a masterpiece. I'm a target shooter so I have zero interest in multishot. Multishot on the target line is quite an inconvenience when compared to single shot.

The brocock is NOT a bullpup mate. Action is not in the stock, it is above the grip like any normal rifle
