Hey seinheiser, maybe you could tweak the firmware or provide a little tweaking tip for improving the 'air' frequencies of the accentum tws? I bought these little buddies but am not satisfied with their sound quality out of the box. I love seinheiser though, and wouldn't want to switch to other brands. Don't disappoint me and several other customers buds. Everyone is rooting for you to do some magic behind the curtains.

You must be living under a rock as Sennheiser has been known for recessed upper mids/ lower treble for years now. And that’s across all their IEMs, wireless or wired. All four MTW earbuds have this similar scooped presentation between ~2khz-6khz. Never liked it. Their wired IEMs like the IE300 and IE900 have similar issues. This is part of the reason people have praised the IE600 and eventually IE200 because there’s finally a somewhat more natural pinna gain with more presence in this region. It’s a shame because the MTW4, for example, look to be tuned really nice but this scooped upper mids is a fatal flaw for me and others. Then the still limited EQ can’t address this much, of course.

@@user-hi7qx2iq4j It’s up to you. The IE200 does have a bit more of a natural pinna gain in that ~2khz-6khz region compared to the MTW4. But the MTW4 looks to have bit more lower frequencies. So by comparison, the MTW4s sound bassier and warmer while having that recessed and more relaxed upper mids. Vocals and lead instruments sound odd and pushed back a bit. The IE200 sounds a little less bassy. They can come off as more clear, a little louder and even more analytical. They have more natural sounding vocals and lead instruments. These two earbuds are essentially opposite where one (IE200) gives you a bit more vocal forward sound especially since the lower frequencies are relaxed. The other (MTW4) is the opposite, relaxing the vocals while raising those low frequencies. Measurement data is out there like on SoundGuys’ website. I have seen some measurements from DHRME that seem to show that both these earbuds have essentially identical low frequencies. I’d count on SoundGuys though as they’re using a B&K 5128 measuring rig. If I had to choose between the two, I’d go for the IE200. Though I’d rather get the best of both worlds with the IE600. But if you want the huge convenience of wireless earbuds, there’s way too many options to settle for the MTW4.

But not everybody prefers nothing, with Sennheiser you're always getting something.

Use the sound personalization tool in the app. For me I like the sound better than using the eq

The status ANC is a no-brainer. They sound as good as some seriously expensive buds. So much so that unless you have a pair of the most top of the line buds,I can't understand why anyone would have anything else.

Try using the sound personalization instead of the custom EQ. It's night and day better.

Its mids are more recessed by default.

The sound personalization made all the difference for me. Matt’s then stand out from my cx plus. Way better than airpods pro 2. Have a similar sound to my old galaxy buds plus but with more bass
