பாத்திரங்களை நிமிர்த்தி வைக்கக்கூடாது கவுந்த நிலையில் தான் வைக்கனும் ஏனெனில் கரப்பான்,பூச்சிகள், பல்லிகள் எச்சமிடும் , துளக்கிவைத்த பாத்திரம் ஆனாலும் self லிருந்து எடுத்து பயன்படுத்துவதற்கு முன் ஒரு முறை தண்ணீரில் கழுவிய பிறகு பயன்படுத்துவது சிறந்தது.

Semi modular is the best. Cover the portion beneath the counter top and store not frequently used utensils and bulk grocery. Leave the wall portion open to store daily use groceries displayed in attractive containers. I put plates in plate stand on the counter top and of course cover the loft.

Mine is semi modular kitchen. I put easily drying utensils like spoons, knives, n rarely using vessels in modular one and i put tiles in concrete shelves for Cookers, kadais , pans,n plates This way no fungus, no mess. This was my own plan.

A very good analysis of open kitchen and modular kitchen..my opinion is the same as yours, especially drying the utensils without a drop of water before keeping inside the drawers and cabinets..a debate is going on in my mind for 2 years, if to convert our kitchen into a modular one or not...

Modular kitchen has lots of problems over the years. Cockroaches, rust and also termite if we keep vessels with even a drop of water. It's a pain and more trouble than worth, in my experience.

Simple high utility open kitchen is the best model. I have a medium ,high usage open kitchen.( sauce ,all podi and even pasta and idiyappam we make ot at home for us) but still no single insect . This is possible only because of open kitchen Open kitchen need not look like old house.I have toughed glass shelves,ss 304 shelves but nothing in closed cabinets.
