Great video! I am of two minds about save files. Sometimes I like starting with a completely blank save file, meaning someone has already deleted all the lots and people. This way I can focus on one or a few worlds and build everything from scratch. Emily Saves are really great. They can be downloaded based on what games you own. Such a lifesaver when you don’t own all of the packs!

Is a safe file just a world that you customize over time, or is it something diffrent? please help, im confuzed and want to make a safe file but dont know what it is!

I don’t know if this will help but creating a new save file - especially the one where there’s no townies nor lots gives you the ability to create your own lots or add them off the gallery! this also includes your own sims and being able to add them on lots but reminder the world is empty and sims will automatically automate townies!!

From what I’ve gathered (i havent found a definite answer) its a save file which you can then use as a base to create new save files from for different gameplays. The base save file has customised lots based on what you want you can choose to keep some of maxis’ lots or create or download lots in the different worlds you have and in the end you will have a base file with lots where all your gameplays/lets plays will be derived from. Hopefully that makes sense

I really appreciate this. My wife and I have been working on a save file for a while. It is definitely work. But it's so fun playing with a unique world. I really wanted to thank you for mentioning the mods. It's killing me seeing randos walking around when I have a few hundred custom sims doing nothing.

i've been wanting to create my own savefile for so long but was always intimidated because i just didn't know where to even start and it's such a time consuming process but this video has definitely encouraged me to atleast give it a try! thank you for the mod recommendations also, they'll definitely be helpful

I had so many save files I loved that I ended up starting to work on my own. It’s not really “my own” because I am using lots from multiple save files to make it exactly what I want. Lol. It’s so fun. I will never share it because it’s not mine, obviously, but my control freak self loves that I am making it exactly what I want. Love it. I'm working on my own save file now actually. Most of my lots are good to go (I got babies so I use gallery lots and tweak them to fit my style lol I don't have much time to build) but I'm working on my LP characters and npc now. It really makes gameplay so much better!

Ouuu I never heard of the no npc townie mod. Lately my new random townies aren’t that hectic looking like in the past bc I have a no acc no makeup randomized allowed mod 💀, but I’m gonna look into this mod tysm💕 Sim Spawn overhaul mod is amazing. I never tweaked the settings. I’ll try to do that🤯🔥 Congrats on 25K🎉💕

If you use the walk by overhaul from zero it has the same effect, that all sims stay in their home worlds. but you can add homeless sims to worlds too and Newcrest an magnolia springs are connected with willow creek and oasis springs. So they have townies too.

You’re the only person who has a save file tutorial that isn’t confusing!! Question though..I have a file I’ve been working on but when I start a new series it doesn’t use the houses and save file I’ve worked on. Am I not supposed to hit new? Do I go into the save file and click save as instead to create a new one?

The sim spawn mod will be a lifesaver! I like to treat different worlds as other countries. It will be nice to prevent the random pop up’s in other worlds. Thank u forvthis video

I know this is an old video, but while searching on KZfaq for save file info, yours came up first & I was so excited because you’re my favorite sims KZfaqr! Anyways. My only question is, can you move sim households into different save files? So for example, I have a family I’ve been playing with for a while and say I wanted to start a whole new save file so that I can create a better story line with them, would I be able to do so? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense 😩

Hey Ash! Love your content, you really inspired me to get back into the game after a year long hiatus! Your aesthetics are amazing girl! One question, was surprised that you don’t use MC Dresser at all, or do you? How do you manage the offspring of the townies as they’ll spawn with random clothing and there are too many to edit manually? Personally I’ve found MC Dresser to be an incredible tool as I save all the outfits on the townies I’ve created / edited (I have about 150 outfits for each category now….took some time to compile that) and so if a next gen spawns (or a townie as I have a small % of townies allowed to spawn in my game using MCCC), they are wearing the pre-made clothes and so they look pretty great! Love to know what you think?

i have my custom pc specs in the description but i followed a tutorial by joey delgado to build it (also provided in one of the links)! it's a lot easier to build a pc than you think! 💞
