Baratang Island is around 100 km from Port Blair. The journey to Baratang is through tribal reserve forests. One gets to explore the limestone caves and the mud volcano in Baratang. The boat ride to the limestone caves through the mangroves is as beautiful as the caves themselves.
How to reach :
1: Portblair to Baratang private car fare INR 5000/ ( Ertiga, Xylo)
( Booking Reference - Arun Kumar - 9933226625)
2: Portblair to Baratang by Bus - 1275/- per person
From Middle Straight jetty to Baratang by Boat 13/ per person
From Baratang jetty to limestone cave speed boat fare 900/ per person
Apart from this, single person basis conducted tour package can be made through Arun Kumar (9933226625)
N.B-- Carry original Adhaar Card individually for permission in Jirkatang Check post.
Disclaimer: Photography and videography are strictly prohibited 🚫 inside the JARAWA forest.
Tourists should understand that interacting, giving food, and even stopping their vehicles in the Jarawa area is a punishable offense.
Convoy timings and Jarawa area rules
The vehicles pass the Jarawa area in a convoy for safety. The first convoy leaves Jirkatang's check post at 6 am. It is advised to go to Baratang in the first convoy so that you can get sufficient time to visit the limestone caves. To get the first convoy from Jirkatang's at 6 am one needs to leave Port Blair by 3.30 am as there are other formalities to be done at the check post.
Strict rules are to be followed while passing through the Jarawa area. The vehicle is not to be stopped in between and interacting with the Jarawa tribes is a punishable offense. For your safety please keep the windows closed during the journey.
What to see?
The main attraction of the Baratang Islands is the limestone caves and the boat ride to the caves through the mangroves. Also, the car driving through the forest is amazing. Those interested may also hire a jeep to visit the mud volcano.
Trekking Route description
Ideal for families and youths. Since there is a trekking of 1.5 km to the cave it is not advisable for senior citizens who have problems walking.

আমি দেখেছি জরোয়া দের। কিন্তু আমি তো ভিডিও তে বলেছি যে কেনো ওখানে ভিডিও বা ফটো তুলিনি। যেখানে যেটা নিয়ম চেষ্টা করি মেনে চলার। আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ আমাদের ভিডিও দেখে মতামত জানানোর জন্য। আমাদের অনেক ভিডিও আছে দেখবেন। ও বন্ধুদের share করবেন।

ধন্যবাদ আমাদের ভিডিও দেখার জন্য। আমি কোথাও বলিনি যে জড়োয়া দেখব ভিডিও তে। বলেছি জড়োয়া দেখেছি। আর সেটা বলেছি যে কেমন। আমি এটাও বলেছি যে নিয়ম অনুযায়ী জারোয়ার ছবিই তোলা উচিত না।

দাদা আমি বাংলাদেশ থেকে যাব, ভিডিও থেকে যা বুঝলাম তাতে অনেক খরচ , ওখানে কোন বাসায় থাকার সুযোগ নেই। আর সিঙ্গেল কি হাজার টাকার রুমে থাকা যাবে। আমার এয়ার টিকিট চার দিনের পর। খরচ হিসেবে দিনটা বেশি পড়ে যায় ওখানে যে এত এক্সপেনসিভ তা না জেনেই টিকিট করে ফেলি এখন কি করা। যদি একটা ভালো পরামর্শ দিতেন সিপ্লই বা বাজেটলি ভ্রমণটা দেওয়া যেত।

আমাদের ভিডিও দেখার জন্য আপনাকে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ।হোর্ডিং এ লিখেছি জারোয়া দেখতে পেলাম। ভিডিও টা পুরো দেখুন বলেছি যে জাড়োয়া কিরকম দেখতে কোথায় দেখেছি না কি। কিন্তু জারোয়া ভিডিও তে দেখাবো এটা বলিনি কোথাও।কারণ জড়োয়া দের ছবি তোলা আইনতঃ দণ্ডনীয় অপরাধ। আমি vlogger আমি এই নিয়ম ভাঙলে আর 5 টা লোক সেটা ভাঙবে। সেটা কি করা উচিৎ ছিল?

@@gayotrees আইনগত বাধা ছিল ঠিক আছে কিন্তু হেডিঙ্ এ কেন মিথ্যা লেখা হবে।যদিও এটা আমার বিষয় না তাহলেও বলছি এতোটাকা ও‌ পরিশ্রম ব্যায় করে এমন কিছু তো দেখা গেলো না।

ওদের সাথে স্থানীয় প্রশাসন এর যোগাযোগ আছে যেটুকু শুনলাম। তবে এটাও শুনলাম যে ওরা নাকি ইদানিং পান গুঠকা খাওয়াও শিখে গেছে। অনেক কিছুই শুনলাম আর দেখলাম যেটা সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া তে share করা যায়না।
