Monkeys lack compassion and empathy, and their motivations are so far from our own that we cannot possibly align ourselves to them. That said, monkeys are known to kidnap and hold babies until they die. I believe Cassi was doing that, but she was also a new mom capable of caring for an infant, and once in a while that instinct kicked in until it didn't anymore. She's not evil. Celeste isn't greedy, and Calvin isn't plotting or scheming. They're wild animals and are surviving according to what they think is best.

If the VOs hadn't been hounding Casi & the rest of the troop so relentlessly, Casi never would have done what she did. Casi didn't want Calvin, she just didn't want the VOs to take him. Her instinct was to protect an abandoned newborn from predators, but not at the expense of her or her infant's own survival. She protected Calvin from the VOs until she couldn't any longer, but she never had any instinct to nurture him while she had Celine. The situation wasn't her fault, nor was it Calvin's. It was what it was.

If Casi's butt fumes had nutrients, that dimwitted Calvin would have lived to be King of the Jungle. 😂😂😂

He tried more than once to pull Celine off. When she was running he was literally grabbing onto Celine trying to pull her off. Then when she was nursing he was pinching her and pulling. Everyone pitys him cause he was a baby but he was awful. He'd literally pull out chunks of casi's fur. He'd grab and pinch Celine's face. He threw fits if he couldn't nurse all the time. And she'd give him warnings but he didn't listen.

At 2:43 Calvin pinches the hell out of Celine's back because he's angry she's nursing and he's not. He grabs her back again at 2:56 and pinches as hard as he can causing Celine to scream out in pain, while giving Cassie the evilest most hate filled eyes I've ever seen Calvin make. He continues grilling her like this from 2:48 until 2:55 when she lifted him up and put him back down on the ground making it clear to him where she wanted him to be. He then climbs up her leg and pretends it's a teat while staring at Cassie in a manipulation attempt to be given Celine's milk early. As soon as Cassie stands up to walk he screams bloody murder because it didn't work. Now he's on the back of her body while Cassie walks away. Calvin continues to throw tantrums because he lost his front of the body privileges, he's now in the back and can't abuse Celine nor can he steal milk. The demon is pissed so he hangs on by one arm and one leg throwing tantrums, thankfully, this doesn't work. Cassie sits down and the leach works his way to the front of her body like he's done on so many other occasions when she intentionally moved him away, just another way Calvin defies her. He tries to steal Celine's milk and she uses her hand to push him down, he gets so angry he screams at the top of his lungs and whips his body around in a tantrum. Cassie doesn't care, nor does Celine. Calvin's disgusting little foot is stretching out about to pinch Celine, he's searching for her but couldn't find her fast enough because Cassie stands up and all of a sudden Calvin is back on her tail where the sneaky leach who pretends he can't walk belongs. Cassie sits at the base of a tree and Calvin is pulling his body toward the front of Cassie's body where Celine is nursing, again, defying her for a third time. As Cassie gets up to walk away, Calvin's clinging to her side but immediately realizing this let's go and plops himself on the ground Cassie sits down and Calvin's now between her legs where he wants to be. Cassie's smart though, she doesn't give him enough time to start climbing up to where Celine's nursing so she stands up and walks. Now Calvin stuck clinging to her back leg and he's enraged, of course, and screaming at the top of his lungs while leaving his legs spread wide and keeps letting go, falling off allowing himself to hit the ground if only for a step or two and then he grabs on again while screaming the entire time, enraged that Cassie does not care. She continues to walk with Calvin attached to her back leg and she's very aware of where he is, because she sits down simultaneously grabbing his tail and pulling him upside down. She picks him up upside down and jumps up to a trash container now Calvin's upside down in her arms and he's pissed. The video ends with Calvin screaming because he's angry he couldn't control and manipulate Cassie. Are these the actions of a grateful infant macaque or are they the actions of a an entitled, demanding and disrespectful ingrate? He thought he was going to manipulate and control Cassie. She's on to him and is already sick of his shit, ie. aggressive attitude and controlling, manipulative, and entitled behavior. The video ends with Calvin screaming because he didn't get his way. These are the behaviors that led to Calvin's demise for those of you who wonder why Cassie was forced to discipline him on a daily basis. He refused to learn and refused to respect Cassie, plus he was a constant danger to Celine; hurting her every chance he had. I'm sorry for the super long post but I felt the need to step by step explain, so those on team Calvin can understand what he did so wrong because they obviously can't figure it out on their own. I'm so glad Cassie finally caught on to all his evil little deeds like stealing Celine's milk when it was her turn to nurse and abusing her when he thought Cassie wasn't looking and got rid of the little rejected spawn of Satan.

I think everyone can agree that calvin deserved a good ol dee dee or kayla babysitting visit or 2. That little gremlin got what was coming he would have been a huge brat had he lived. Cassi decided between her own and this misfit and chose well.

THAT female IS Calvins actual birth mother. You will see that even as casi is walking past with screaming calvin, his real mom doesnt even get up to try and follow or anything.. she truly did not want him or just wasnt yet ready to be a mom, because she DID have another baby with her next cycle and there is a video from my favorite channel that is sadly now bo more, but his old videos are there still.. but its the Animal Gallery channel and its one of his last videos that he posted during covid early 2021.. but he see Christy (Calvins birth mom, same monkey sitting by the tree with casi at the beginning of this video) but he sees her and she had a new little baby boy who she DID KEEP and WAS feedi g and the baby looked healthy happy and adorable.. she was just way WAY to young still when she had calvin.. she was just barley 3 yesrs old.. usually they dont have babies until they are 4 or 5.. but if they go into estrus early and if there arnt enough older females also in their estrus cycle the males will go after those young ones.. it is super traumatic to them when they are still so young and have no idea whT is happening to them.. and then ahen they have ghe baby many of those real young ones DO abandon the baby.. it is actually extremely COMMON behavior for such a young first time mother. Then their next baby they will keep and care for and do well with.. that is likely what happened woth her and why she left calvin and never tried to get him back.. and this video shows pretty clearly that she wasnt interested in getting him back, she let casi walk off with him and ahe didnt move a muscle lol cant say i blame her after she seen how problematic calvin was for casi lol she was not at all trying to take on THAT screaming and femanding little demon lol. But yeah, that was his actual birth mom.m,ChrisTy.. with a "T" NOT the other one so many try to say was his birth mom.. that was Chrisy, NO "T" and she already still have a younger baby she was still nursing that she had only a few weeks before.. i dont know how or why people started to say that Chrisy was hos mom when chrisy clearly still ha e a little black haired young baby she was still nursing.. it was impossible for her to have been his mom.. but they did see that ChrisTy had just goven birth ie: she had blood on her backside from just goving birth.. but she never followed around to try to get him or even paid attention to where casi was with him.. if a baby is "kidnapped " and the mom wants it they dont ever leave them, they might go a few feet away to look for food but they continue to follow the baby until eventually the kidnappers let the baby go.. but she didnt ever do that cuz she just didnt want him. Casi put calvin down and let his scream while she walked a few feet away to try and have him get his real moms attention, and casi walked away enough to let her know she was safe and ok to go take calvin back, and casi was even seen looking for his mom and called out to her a few times as she looked around her in the trees and on the ground.. ahe WANTED TO GIVE HIM BACK to his real mom, but his real mom never even tried to get him.

2:36 got disciplined all the time he was pretty much saying, move her out of the way so I can nurse after a while he stopped “asking”/“ demanding” Casi move Celine out of his way and attempted to move her out of his way on his own by clawing at her face, pulling her father out, slamming into her, sucking on her face and any and everything else he could do. He became very aggressive towards Celine and Casi with his unwillingness to learn and his disrespect, he was going to get all three of them attacked if not killed and Casi wasn’t willing to take that risk in my opinion

Can someone explain to me (if they know obviously) why Casi held on to Calvin for as long as she did? I know his final day was with a younger juvenile but even when he fell off another tree (not the same as he did with real mom) she charged down for him. She beats him but yet wants him. Why? It’s even more odd because she didn’t kidnap him to show dominance. He was given to Casi by Vo’s after he fell from a tree and mom never retrieved him (I feel because he was unhealthy and had birth defects moms reject babies and can sense it.) So with kidnapping I can see, but what about this?

It amazes me how humans assign intentions on a poor animal. Calvin's behavior is a creation of his circumstance. Its a fight for life response. We even see in abused children, they cling to an abusive parent. Why? Its an instinct for survival. Calvin fought for every drop of milk. He didn't devise a plan to take milk from the other little one, his behavior reflected what got him attention...good or bad. His fight was the only way he could survive. I think its EVIL to hate small animals or assign intentions to innocence. They are animals, stop with the personification.

If you make clip clopping sounds to match casi’s footsteps, the events after 9:14 are pretty funny. I’ve always wondered wth was wrong with Calvin and his inability to cling properly.
