A look at an old mining operation outside of Chloride, Arizona. Chloride was founded in 1863 and is the longest continually inhabited silver mining town in the state. It also has the longest operating post office in Arizona as well. Home to about 250 people consisting of mostly artists and retirees, the town is still very much alive. The ghosts of it's former life can be found in many places in and around the town however.

This episodes interesting. I just saw your latest episodes in the comments are turned off 📴. But same question ❓. How many rattlesnakes you run across? As far as your most recent deserted home it looks like the old boy probably is working along and passed away. Be at that place of this place is something to be said about living out away from everybody. Thanks for bringing this to your attention so we can watch them 🤠. I spent a little time out there and I'll never go back. Las Vegas and other places just were not a good experience.

Aww yes, comments disabled for high desert homestead. So comments on that video. Looks like it was there in the 80s (or earlier) since that was the main years that c-band satellite dish was used. Guy worked in industrial plant equipment - that butterfly valve on the outside table by the front door and the gear on the porch close to it. The yellow industrial parts catalog was mid-90s so probably around when he retired, let's say 60 (norm back then). Was still in shape for the tennis racquet and exercise bench in the cluttered patio. Seemed to be an avid traveler type. I think he moved back to civilization in 2009 (the red novel) around age 74. widower that met a lady? Or nearer to a hospital? Didn't see any sign of a woman's touch. Looks like he moved out and didn't die - family would have left more junk behind. That second structure I thought at first was a his workshop but I think it was built for family to stay when they visit - tile floors. That would put him around 88 years old today. And a healthy fella - that ashtray looks like only occasionally used by guests. What was that structure at 9m28s up high, between the hills?
