I fed a stray cat for 5 years before she finally let me pet her. It wasn’t long after that she decided to move herself into the house. She has now become the most cuddly affectionate cat that iv ever had. You can tell that she just appreciates everything that was done for her. I love her so much. Btw her name is Kitty. That’s what I called her when she was a stray so I figure no reason to confuse her by all of a sudden calling her like Tina or something . Lol.

@@splobby Hello splob, a poor hair coat can indicate the cat may have been ill or malnourished for just a few weeks. And cats have emotions, too. They can be unhappy, terrified, can enjoy to the full, can have low or high self-esteem, can even be jealous... This I learned by observing several cats over the time. And nowadays medicine knows body and soul are connected and should be treated together. Therefore a trust gaining cat can also get a better general condition, in addition to other treatments of course.

Formerly prefered dogs over cats, can confirm discovering affection in cats was like that, both from when I was arguing with a cat person (they had undeniably good points about them) and also having the opportunity to spend time with a neighbour's cat. Getting affection from a cat is something I feel like I really deserve. Also they are so much more interesting than dogs, they can go underneath doors because they are so squishy and they are so actobatic generally.

We rescued a similar, but younger, ginger boy who showed up in our back yard two years ago. It wasn't until we trapped him and had him neutered that he wanted to be an inside cat.

Not mine. The worst pain in the ass imaginable. Destroys litter boxes. My two cats are fed on table so the pooch doesn't steal their food. No matter with dear Fazool, he throws his food on the floor any way. He thinks if it's raining outside the front door, he goes to the back door because he thinks it might be dry. If I put on a jacket he hasn't seen for a while he's not sure who I am. If there's mud any where around the house, he'll find it and walk through it before coming in......and so on.

I have found that people who say "all cats are evil" tend to have very small heads and small brains that fit into those heads.
@LordKhuzdul2 жыл бұрын
Most people who think so have no close experience with a cat. My cat is a standoffish asshole, she barely allows petting, not cuddly at all. However, one night, a few days after I have broken my wrist, the wrist was acting up and I had a massive migraine as an accompaniment. I was thoroughly miserable, lying in a dark room with my good arm over my eyes. I think I whined a little from the pain, and immediately I felt her jump up on the bed. She started licking my temples, then stretched along my broken arm and started purring like mad. She stayed there the whole night - and this is a cat that barely stays within arms length for five minutes before starting to get bitey. My point is - my cat is, to a casual observer, pretty much the definition of "evil cat". You need to dig a little to find the loving creature underneath.

I assume people had fed him before because someone bothered to trap and neuter him. Even if he was feral, cats are drawn to homes because people often leave garbage out where a cat may be able to find something worth eating. Also mice tend to live near people in higher numbers and anyone who feeds birds bring another potential food source to their home.
