I would love to buy places like this and restore them. I think old places need to be restored and turn them back to what they used to be. This place here has ties to Martin Luther King Jr. This should be saved. This is part of history. It's a wild and cool place.

The "baby caskets" you are referring to as samples of the burial vaults. The vaults are made of concrete and are placed in the ground and the casket is then placed inside and sealed. This protects the casket over time from caving in from the dirt and elements, rain, flooding, etc.

Why are there so many homes just left. Nothing sold to help pay the back taxes. The hearses before they rotted away, but the engines might be ok. Then the furniture and stained glass windows such a waste. Even caskets are left actual ones and samples. Imagine having funeral homes segregated even in death you are not good enough. Bet if the had organs that could be donated they wouldn’t ask what colour skin they had. I remember how strange it was to hear that coloured people were not allowed to mix with whit.
