Depends...If the clubhouse is clean, and the course itself doesn't need much maintenance to get back into playing condition, the property might be slated for a new owner that wants to re-open the course... Probably not a good year in 2020, with the pandemic to go and do all that, however...

Yeah th buckets of golf balls you seen were probably for anyone who wanted to maybe play a round or of they had a driving range they would be given a bucket of balls to hit

Should have checked the tag on the fire extinguisher to see the expiration date to see how long it’s been sitting.
