Abandoned Insane Asylum Exploration (Part 1)

The Proper People

8 жыл бұрын

As we hike through misty, wooded hills, a massive abandoned insane asylum reveals itself. The complex was used for several things in it's lifetime, such as a fort in the Civil War, a prison for Native Americans, and finally a segregated mental health institution for African Americans. Join us as we try to avoid security and explore as much of it as we can.

Great video guys. I know this place real well, My mother-in-law worked there back in the 1980's. She worked in the medical records department. The rooms you thought were showers were office cubicals. The great Apache leader Geronnimo was a prisoner there back in 1888.

If it's something they're interested in, they should get a drone and fly it through the areas that they themselves can't walk on like much of the soaked and mushy floors in this building. It would also make for some cool shots. :)

Great video guys, I love the way abandoned buildings slowly decay. Once the roof starts to go and water begins to penetrate the building, decay accelerates. Water penetration does much damage, and soon the structural integrity of the building becomes compromised. I like the way plant life encroaches, nature soon takes over.

I'm slightly obsessed with old/abandoned houses, hospitals, etc. I may be a young kid but I deal with a lot of stress and anxiety, I feel like all of these abandoned building videos really help me get away from it and enjoy what I love. I think it's funny that my family is (slightly) scared of me because I love so many scary/creepy things. 7:28 - The music that starts playing here reminds me of the style of music that would play while you were solving puzzles in _The 7th Guest_ game. So appropriate for a video like this.

You guys always find the best places to explore. This asylum is so scary! And not just because of the creepy ambiance, but the omnipresent fear that with one wrong step the floors could collapse under you feet!!

I find this stuff so intriguing. I researched this place and found pictures from back when it was open. It's just crazy to think about the history that that place holds. Love your channel!!
