A truly amazing castle we visited here. The Place was abandoned after an earthquake heavily damaged the building because a part of the Tower fell through the roof. Due to this desaster nothing was really taken out of the home and everything is still left behind as it was, not untouched though as it seems that thieves have gone through a lot of the belongings looking for valuables. The oldest parts of the castle were built in the 1300s but it was changed and added to until the 19th century.

I think the owner should rent it out to a group of dedicated people, either very low rent or free, on the condition the group restore it and care for it. I wouldn't want live there all by myself, but as a group effort it would be great

Sych a beautiful place. It is a shame that everything IN there couldnt be removed and a museum created to display how people lived in earlier times. The beds and furniture along shows the craft and care that the people who made them put into them. And they are just left there to rot away. The very walls are sooooo beautiful. It adds a whole new outlook to the life in a castle or just ancient buildings. Where we throw up paint and wallpaper they actually had murals and works of art covering their walls. AMAZING!!! Even the bookcases. You cannot buy REAL wood bookcases anymore unless you pay an extreme amount of money. And that old Bible in the Chapel! WOW! Where is the National Heritage program or historical society to save all of that?

It's always such an awful shame to see what was once a grand home filled with memories, now deteriorating or destroyed either due to nature, vandals, lack of care or time. While walking through those huge magnificent rooms and hallways, looking at those amazingly beautiful ceilings, not only can you see what care, craftsmanhip and hard work went into making them, but you can also feel the history of and almost see the people who once lived there. I am in complete and total awe of what you are showing. You are one of the very few who not only show respect to these beautiful pieces of art and history by documenting them, but you also have complete and total admiration of them as well, which makes you a beautiful person. Please keep doing what you do, since I am not able to travel right now to see these places in person. I hope make a new friend or two over there and then one day travel to Europe and the UK to see these places. Excellent job, you have made a new fan.
