Wow This is First Time Coming Down Abandoned Ruby Tuesday Restaurant Video so Hope You Guys are Doing Awesome for Tonight!!!

Yay you're at Uniontown you should do the mall or even go into the old abandoned Kmart that became a Big lots and furniture store

Stumbled across this video. That ruby Tuesdays has been closed for more than 2 years I believe. The old Kmart lot was unused for a good couple years until recently I’d say the last 5-6 years it was being rented out by a furniture store. The restaurant was Mark C’s Diner for a long while. They too recently relocated in the last few years. Just recently did they start renovating and filling out the lot to new stores. Just about 3 ish years old by now. Many great memories as a young child in that K mart. My grandfather would take us out to dinner at the Ruby Tuesday every couple months. Next time you are in Uniontown stop by Jersey Mike’s just on the other side passed the lights, I can treat you for lunch. Check out the Brownsville area, they’re just a town over. It’s a dead town but they have tons of abandoned buildings and sites to see.

I live in Uniontown. So sad. Take a trip to Uniontown Mall and the old Laurel Mall. Super K was a great store. It had everything including a restaurant. 😢

I worked at a ruby Tuesday from 2008-2012. When I started it was what I’d call a burger joint. You had about 15+ different kinds of burgers on the menu and they were pricey but very good. They also had really good ribs and other things. They were also known for their salad bar…very popular. They were very successful, and super super busy. Then for some reason out of the blue they decided they wanted to compete with red lobster. Our DM even admitted this. They wanted to steal business and market share from red lobster after being successful for 30-40 years as a simple burger joint. They added many seafood dishes to the menu and dumbed down the burger options and the quality of the burgers and changed or removed many of the staple items on their menu that their longtime customers loved. Then they started trying to add a bunch of Mexican dishes to the menu. Really really strange…. Needless to say they’ve been going downhill very sharply ever since and they just barely exist anymore as a company. I could go on and on about how they destroyed this brand but this comment is already too long. The restaurant I worked in closed in 2015 and is now a Mexican restaurant. To be honest they were terrible to work for and treated their employees and even managers really poorly…good riddance.

The corner of that old Kmart is turning into a Chipotle! The Kmart side is often used as a spirit Halloween during October. They're also supposed to be fixing and rebuilding where the old Walmart was (up near the Harbor Freight). It closed and was torn down years ago due to the floor inside collapsing. The city is spread out and planned/built in a pretty odd manner, but everyone here is just happy to actually get some new stores. I hope one day we'll get a Chik-fil-a, it's been talked about for years. I haven't gone through old videos, but check out the mall. It's not quite abandoned - they're always trying to get new vendors through facebook, but apparently rent is really expensive and the building itself is leaky and falling apart.

Ruby Tuesday, wow! It's probably been almost 10 years since I ate there, this one brings back memories, looks just like the one I last ate at in the Chicago area

I lived just outside of Uniontown and I worked at this Ruby Tuesday. A lot of great memories and friends I made from there. It's such a shame seeing this happen. It's cool to see it still has all it's stuff in there. Maybe it'll reopen someday. I wish I had the money or connections to get it up and running. Uniontown doesn't have enough restaurants. Also what you saw for the buffet was an all you can eat salad bar. Customers served themselves.

Interesting find. We don't see too many of these. Great video! Also, yes, the Super Kmart building looks very....unique. After so many have been completely face-lifted I'm kind of confused why they didn't do that here.

My brother worked for Ruby Tuesday and got very sick while he was there. He was a dishwasher and they worked him for hours with no breaks.

I live in Uniontown. Drive by it quite often. The old Golden Corral became a Chinese restaurant. I believe it's closed too. But they re-opened Shoneys.

We went to a Kmart in St. Thomas USVI! I had no clue there was still any in existence. Love this video, I grew up in Masontown Pa.

I was a bartender & server at this exact Ruby Tuesday from May 2015 to July 2019. I had wonderful memories here. I made good money here, & even better friends. I remember when this Ruby Tuesday closed. I think it closed April 2020. The pandemic definitely didn’t help business, but business was already dying in the summer of 2019. I wish someone would reopen this Ruby Tuesday. I would love to if fate allowed.

The abandoned side of the super Kmart became a furniture store and they never changed the outside of the building. Although now the furniture store is closed.

I grew up in Ohiopyle! And I remember eating at that Ruby Tuesdays when I was in high school/ college. I’ve since moved away from the area, I live now n Huntsville, Al now. It’s wild that the Golden Corral closed. I figured my dad could single handedly keep that place open lol

Can't believe I'm seeing this 8 months later but it's pretty neat seeing that building. I don't remember ever going there in the past but I do remember that it used to get really busy. Also, a lot of people were suggesting the mall but I've actually visited recently and it's starting to get lively again with a number of new, independent stores moving in. Quite a few trading card related stores now and a really awesome retro video game store.

My daughter met her boyfriend here and now there married and December 1,2022 their twins was born. Brings back so many memories ❤

Hey Wallie! Nice review of the abandoned Ruby Tuesday and good to see someone finally call out whomever owns the former Super Kmart building in Uniontown for looking like complete crap!

I remember when,Ruby Tuesday had Restaurants in Detroit and Southeastern Michigan. And,Ruby Tuesday Restaurants had Closed Permanently and left the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan area years ago. There is an abandoned Ruby Tuesday Restaurant located on Van Dyke just North of 15 Mile Road in Sterling Heights,Michigan.

As of right now the old Kmart has sherwin, Wiliams, Timeless Furniture, liquor store and First Student school bus lines. The empty part is being used as storage for Timeless furniture and the Fayette Co Prison construction supplies. Supposedly chipotle is going to be moving into where the restaurant used to be.

You should see the old old antique house at the red light up past Wendy's right across the road it's been there 100 years..

So sad. I ate there around two and a half years ago. I use to shop in Uniontown, going to Home Depot 😂 Ohiopyle is awesome! I will miss going there as I have moved out of state recently. Stay awesome!!! 💖

Timeless Furniture was on the other end and they moved to the side of that building where you did not go. There is a Beer and Wine store, Timeless Furniture and Sherwin Williams Paint store. Go to our Uniontown Mall and see what happened to it. We pretty much have no where to shop.

The former Golden Corral changed formats several times--Chinese, then American buffet, then sushi. Can't remember the name of the place when it was shut down by the health department for a laundry list of violations--the place was FILTHY and food handling was unsafe; the manager didn't even have sanitation certification. You probably notice there is ABSOLUTELY NO PLANNING in Oniontown. Stores are just randomly scattered with no thought whatsoever. Go up to Wally World in Onion (but NEVER at night!) There's a dialysis center adjacent, then a Honda dealership, then Dick sports wares and Hobby Lobby with a strip of shops out front. Good luck trying to navigate the maze of roads. Across from Wally World, Onion put a little plaza with Primanti Brothers, Jersey Mike's and a couple other places. The parking lot is a joke. The shops should have gone next to Target or near Wally World. Oniontown is a disaster if you're trying to run errands,

You're very blessed that you grew up in the 90's, because you got to experience the last part of Kmart before Dumpert took over and killed a beloved retail icon.

That's my hometown and yes they did close and the mall is like so dead. Not like I remember. I visit there cause my family is there. I moved to DuBois PA about 3 hrs away from DuBois.

Ruby Tuesday’s was so, so popular. The headquarters were once in Maryville, Tn (not sure if it is). Gradually they have closed stores throughout the years. Pretty sure there is only 3 left in my area. Loved their Asiago Peppercorn Steak. They took it off the menu recently. It is so not what it once was.

I wasn't ever crazy about this place. I asked my wife if she wanted to go here once, obviously recently, and she said it's not open anymore. I shop at the home depot almost weekly but never realized this was closed.

When the Golsen Coral was operated it was filthy and stunk

I haven’t been to ruby Tuesday since my youth bowling days. Our ruby Tuesday shut down 8 years ago in Michigan and it got demolished and turned into Culver’s in 2019

There is a Ruby Tuesday in Cambridge, Oh on southgate parkway. I rarely see any cars there so it may be going as well. It is still open so if you travel 40 or I-70 you can try it. Thanks W&K

One at erie mill creek mall is closed also. Just was at mill creek last weekend....i was like oh its closed. Google didnt say.it.was closed. Very sad

I ate at Ruby Tuesday's a few times when it was at Century III. They were comparable to TGI Friday's.

Wallis, if you ever come across the Chesapeake Bay again, there is an old abandoned Howard Johnson Restaurant in Millington, MD. 🙂 It closed late 2004. It went to auction in 2005 and no one bid on it. It’s still standing.

I’m a former RT manager. I actually ran a couple of shifts in that location a few years ago. My home location has since closed as well. Times were tough for the brand pre pandemic. They may not recover from it.

The other half of KMart is going to be a Rural King from what I have heard. Uniontown is trying to stay alive. To many people either go to Morgantown or other places. I live in Smithfield and I’d rather go to Morgantown where there is better service and bigger selection. Great video.

They close the one here in memphis. However in the summer of last year I was at the one in nashville.

From uniontown here and biglots moved to the old Kmart. A Costco was suppose to move there but like with all things in uniontown it never happaned and nothing was said

Hi guys, we had a return the days we had two of them in my area one of them now defunct at a business as of November 20, 2022. Great Northern Mall in Clay New York and then one at the Destiny mall destiny USA mall Syracuse New York. So sad to see my Ruby Tuesday’s get torn down what her maybe a new restaurant will come in and its place.
