The CRX is setup for drag racing that's why the fuel tank is small and the big handbrake is for launching the car

8:10 It’s a Nissan Cima. In the States they’re called Infiniti q45. They’re RWD with the vh45de v8 engine. Some came with a vq30det. They’re based on the Y33 chassis.

4:54 That motor in the CRX is most probably a B18C non-R judging from the intake manifold. The dodgy steel mount is custom because the motor isn't exactly a direct fit. Edit: the intake manifold is variable length type, which is why it was long and curved downwards as opposed to other B-series intake manifold

Tetanus isn't from rust itself but often associated with it because it's a bacteria that is found in dirty areas, which rust tends to be. But you can still get it from any other contaminated area. So the odds would be the same digging through the dirt and getting a cut, or rummaging through a car and nicking yourself.

I found my Supra MK3 at a scrapyard with frontend crash damage, me and my brother made a deal with the yard owner that if we got it to run we would buy it on the spot(so she wouldn't have to deal with the long mess of parting it out or deal with people who agree to buy it but does a no show) the battery in it was dead so we put a good one in there and the car fired up and even idled on the old gas. the yard owner was even nice enough to drop the car off at home. The next day i found a stripped out body with severe rear end rust damage for sale on facebook and it was only two hours away. i guess i lucked out on this one, the Supra is now repaired and roadworthy.

So, most of the American cars you’ll see in Okinawa are NOT base related. Japan didn’t allow us to bring in cars newer than 1976. There are tons of hidden gems on Okinawa, but much less than there used to be. About 1/4 of what there was back when I first came to Okinawa in 2000.

The big white 4 door are infiniti q45 in the states. They were their big luxury 4 door cars in the early 2000s. People would buy them and put bigger chrome rims on them like the Lexus LS series. A kid I went to high school with had one with some 21s or 22s on it with a huge sound system in it.

I laughed so hard every time you called the beams a crappy engine.....they have great potential and such a unique sound with itb's on them.

Those were the 1GFE Beams engines he was looking at, not the 3SGE Beams like the one in the altezza. The 1GFE beams is indeed a crappy underwhelming 2 liter 6 cylinder

@griffins56552 жыл бұрын
Different version of the Beams, the il6 wasn’t very good compared to the 4 cylinder
@pj36352 жыл бұрын
I was also referring to the beams 3sge, so slow, have to redline it to get it to do anything. But we’re spoiled for quality JDM goodness here. Altezzas aren’t worth the tyres they sit on. Skid hacks They need boost to be fun, really does improve them
@griffins56552 жыл бұрын
@@pj3635 ohhh Gotcha, I kind of disagree with you but I mean it’s trumpet that they aren’t that fast but compared to some other NA 4cylinders the 3sge isn’t that bad and it’s been used a lot in really light cars which helps (think NA Mr2 type cars)

B18C swap in the CRX. Def set up for drag racing with the hand brake and small fuel cell. C4 Vette is a 1991-96... would have an L98 TPI (91) or LT1 (after 92). C4s are cool cars that are affordable, easily modified and hence coming up in popularity these days.
