I feel so sorry for all the children who will never or have never experienced the childhood feeling of sheer joy & excitement when walking into a TOYS R US and seeing shelves filled with thousands of toys.😢

Last year, I helped set up a Spirit Halloween store in an old Toys R Us. The amount of stuff they had left behind was crazy. A bunch of monitors, registers, old signs, a few toys, carts in the back, tools in the back. Just all kinds of stuff. It was crazy.

When I found out toys r us was closing down I was sad cause you wouldn’t get the adverts that got you all exited for chiristmas

It is so sad that Toys R Us is closed. It used to be a great part of my childhood. Whenever I wanted a toy or something for Christmas, that would be the first place I would go. I think a lot of people would feel the same. It will never be the same. RIP KIDS R US. WE'LL MISS YOU.

I wasn't aware that Toys R Us had gone out of business in the US. It is still here in Canada. It's sad to see such a large building sitting empty. I think the left-behind toys make it even sadder. Thanks for sharing your video Kyle.

Fun Fact: In Some "Macy's" Locations they have attached a mini "Toys R Us"

I remember going to Toys R Us plenty of times. The store (in my area) was converted into an Aldi's, so at least we have another reason to go to the former site. I even remember walking in as it was closing down. It was a little sad.

Wow...they actually both look like newer and very nice buildings. The inside was a lil rough but it’s probably bc of all the liquidation they had to do. These are definitely nicer looking then any of the ones I’ve been to.💯

I LOVED Toys R Us as a child. Every birthday I had, I’d get a card, and I was allowed to get whatever toy I wanted. I was very upset when it got closed, knowing kids now can’t go there themselves and see how great of a place it was. I would’ve taken the Geoffrey the giraffe plush, wash it, and fix it up.

Anyone remember Playworld? They went out of business in 1978.

I have a giraffe similar to that. I got it when I was a kid back in the day from Toys R Us for Christmas, I remember. The neck has these metal bending mechanics. Pretty cool. I remember most of my most expensive toys were from there. Man. I miss it. Also, my childhood Toys Are Us is still sitting there abandoned. It's a big colorful one. Both the signs are still there as well. There's even a big round sign of Geoffrey on the building next to the logo. I took some pictures of it a couple weeks ago. I'll probably be posting it on my Twitter if anyone is really interested.

It's a true shame that companies like this go away. Bankruptcy, "bigger, better deals", big box stores, etc. Now, the malls are dying off. But, we'll just go build something else, and waste space and money, all over again.

The ending broke my heart. I loved going to Toys R Us even till I was 18. I bought new stuff toys there in 2016 but then donated it to children even my winning Japanese plush from Round One after I became homeless at 19. Time flies so fast

Yo legit I worked at the last store you visited and this was the closest Toys R Us to that one. All the stuff out back was probably stuff that was damaged or hidden at the end. At the store I worked at people came in on the last day and bought out all the inventory to resell for a profit. Still miss Toysrus and Babiesrus

I realize times change but in this case? It isn't a plus for anyone much less children that will never know what its like to actually see thousands of toys under 1 roof. There's something to be said for children being able to get excited about going to a phenomenal toy store instead of being buried in a video game. Sad that some children will never know that happiness. Hopefully someone will bring a store back like Toys R Us to let children once again or for the first time enjoy the happiness I did. There was nothing like it..... that feeling. With the way the world is, we all need some happiness.

The Toys R Us that used to be in Cerritos California several years ago recently turned into an Amazon Fresh Grocery Store. Just wished that before Toys R Us was gone that I would've gotten the Funko Pops, The Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch Consoles Displays, The Games for Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4, WWE Figures, Electric Bike and Scooter plus a few others merchandise for nothing/free from the manager to take home but regretted it. I just wish to go back in time 2 years ago and talk to the store manager about it. I hope that Toys R Us and Kay B Toys comes back to United States soon. The Toys R Us in Canada is still there. Wow does this bring back memories of my childhood in the 70's, don't you all worry though, I'll never grow up, I am a toys r us kid. I remember they even had a huge Geoffrey's Christmas wishbook that got mailed to house and we would be soo excited just flipping the pages and circling items we wanted Santa to send. The last time I went to toys are us was 5 to 6 years ago

There was literally nothing left at our local Toys R Us. Everything including the shelving, cash registers, shopping carts, and even the cart return spots were sold. The store was gutted, and is already another store - it was turned into a Raymour and Flanigan Outlet. One of our local supermarkets purchased all of the carts and cart return spots and have them at their store with stickers over the Toys R Us logos. Sometimes I go to that supermarket just to find the carts that they forgot to put stickers on. It all just breaks my heart. And I definitely would have rescued that Philly Phanatic from the back of that Toys R Us.

I worked at one building bicycles. It was a pretty good job. Later worked at Cartamundi which is the old Milton Bradly factory. They still make Operation and a few other older games.

I played Operation when I was a kid, and I'm in my 60's now. Do I want Toys "R" Us to come back? No. Their toys were overpriced, unless they were having a deep sale. It was poorly managed, and now many cities and neighborhoods have abandoned buildings that may become an eyesore very soon. Keep up the good work my friend!

When I get older, I will make a toys R us for all the kids that are my age that way all the memories inside that store, can come back to us ❤

Toys R Us didnt sell toys, They sold our memories.

Thatmakes me sad seeing all those good toys being disposed of when kids could be loving them, and seeing that woody doll made me think of toy story 3 the dump scene and I cried seeing those toys and yet you only rescued one.
