This waterpark never opened. It was abandoned and falling apart before a hurricane hit it. Someone started building it and there was many different things business wise that kept it from ever being completed or opened. We drive past this place all the time and never knew what anything looked like up close! Thanks for exploring it and showing us what could have been if it had ever opened.

I live very close to that water park. I drive by it every day for what seems like 20 years and I've never once saw what was inside, so thank you for taking the time to do that good sir. You have satisfied my curiosity. 😀

It was not destroyed in the hurricanes. It has been being built since the early 2000’s and was never opened due to investment issues. Then it was scheduled to open a few years ago. And it never happened

Live not too far from it, it's been there since I can remember and it's never even opened. Can't remember how many years I was excited about it opening when someone new got ahold to it but now it's just a waste.

I'm from SWLA, and to give you a little bit of a back story, the original owners never got this place finished, and it was never opened to the public. I believe the project started in 2008. I think you're literally the first people to ever go inside. No one has ever seen what it looked like, other than from the interstate! Thanks for doing this! SWLA thanks you :)

Im so God you did this. I live about 20 minutes from this place and have always wondered what it looked like. This place isn't actually abandoned though. Work was being done in 2017 to try to open, and construction began in the early 2000s. Permit and construction issues kept pushing the owner back, as far as we know the owner still has control over the property and equipment and wanted to move forward with the project. There is no telling though if that will happen. Thank you so much for doing this video as far as we could tell from thr interstate only the slides where up at this park. Its crazy to know how much more was there. I know there was a plan to add at least 2 large pools as well, just crazy!

It's abandoned but never opened. They tried for years but couldn't get water to it as they would have had to dig under the interstate to run it (from what we were always told). They tried for about 3 years and promised openings each summer. It's only a few years old.

I am a local of where this water park is located. Now I'm not sure how true this is, but a reliable source told me that the reason the water park never happened is because all of the rice farmers were complaining it would take too much water away from their crops.

It must be a tough time for water parks these days. Seems like I have seen a lot of these abandoned water park videos lately. It did seem like a pretty small one, but also looked like it was out in the middle of nowhere so maybe they were planning on expanding when they put it in. Not sure what all these little booths were.

That was SO friggin cool!! I wanted to see more of it! But... ummmm what about the dog? Do you think he was locked in that bathroom? Did you rescue him? Call someone?

We live right next door to this park and would love to do a updated video. Did y'all get permission from the owners or was it a supr of the moment thing? We would love to get ahold of the owners they have deer cams set up at the entrance of the park now so we would need authorization to do the job. Thank you for your time and keep up the good work

The reason I heard it didn't open was water. The "city" water access is on the opposite side of the interstate. Cost too much to run line under I10 or from another location on same side. It is kind of a random location.

It looks like they spent a fair bit of money to set this up, but I get the feeling that it didn't last that long when you put it against that main outlay of funds. Looks like it was a fun place to go on a hot day. Some of these water parks got shut down because of unsafe rides due to injuries and deaths on them.

So I’m from the area and quick story….they built the water park and had issues with getting water to the location. So it never opened and was left as is.

The park never opened I live like 15 miles from it they ran into a bunch of permit issues the dirt bike track on the side was open but they shut that down as well

u should go to the one in phenix city alabama by tates furniture its all woods not but the slides and all is still there and u can see them it closed down due to not makeing enough money ur vids are amazing

It never opened and wasn't destroyed by any hurricane. In fact, those of us who live in SWLA joke that the next time. CAT 5 .comes our way, we're going there, because it has withstood them all. Honestly, it's a very sad story of someone's dream, being crushed by politics and stupidity. They couldn't get permits, and water rights. If you want to do some good, shine some light on that.

We don't have a water park here anymore. They closed them down. We had Wild Waters in Ocala, Florida, that is now torn down. Also had Wet and Wild that is gone too.
