I finally drive and feature a BMW M car on the channel! Today we check out this amazing 2019 BMW M2 Competition.

This video also features the CLA45s AMG which is one of the AMG performance versions of the Mercedes CLA. My car is the 2022 CLA45s AMG Coupe but you can also get the CLA45s AMG Shooting brake or even the A45s Hatch back.

LOL, I have been owning my A45s for a year now, and going to pick up an used M2 competition next week, this video just poped at the perfect timing.

I think it could be the best m car i put mud guards on the front of mine to stop stones hitting the back arches

@@oldbillsykes8423 What did you expect ? Surely you are not that stupid you thought a rear wheel drive car was going to drive like an AWD car ? The A45S is a good car, almost as fast as an RS3, but it is boring, safe, and you can launch one with one hand on the steering wheel. An M2 requires driver skill to get the best out of it, and from your comment, it seems obvious you do not have that ability. The fact the rear end can be lively is exactly why real drivers love the M2. It has great balance, very good grip, and it extremely quick around a track, but it requires a lot more skill than an AWD car to get the best from it. AWD cars are for people who want to look like better drivers than they actually are, because the car is doing all the work for them. Do us BMW drivers a favour, sell your M2 to somebody who can actually drive it, and go back to your safe, boring, AWD hatchback.

Ditched my CLA45 last year to go M2 Comp. CLA is nice place to be but numb to drive. M2 is just a much more engaging car.

The Alcantara steering wheel is not standard and you don't need to go into MDM mode to get all the 'pops and burbles.' Sport Plus will suffice. MDM will only affect the amount of 'slip' permitted in the rear before kicking in to prevent you wrapping your car around a tree or similar.

What a car. I prefer the pre LCI OG M2, but I wouldn't kick an M2C out of bed !!!

How do you have it in sport handling mode if the M2C doesn't have adaptive dampers?

The sport handling mode only changes the the steering, not the ride. At least that’s what I meant when I said handling mode :)

I'd pick this over the newer M2 without a doubt. the latest BMs are just far too ugly. As for over an AMG, it;'s a tough one. I'm just so NOT a fan of a 4 cyl. Having said that, they may mean business but BMW engines of late have the worst character of almost any engine out there.

Character? Sound? Man…. people are flogs when they let rip the exhaust. RS3 is soulless under 3000rpm. The AMG feels faster at low…. daily. It’s the AMG or a real drivers car M2.
