Hey Abbey ... I just got BACK from Italy and you're right ... the food is fantastic. I DID have pizza almost every day and pasta several times. I took a 3-week cruise from Rio De Janeiro to Rome (with ports in Brazil, Spain, France and a few other places in Italy) and then stayed in Rome for a week. You and David (and your mom/his sisters/whoever you'd like to go) should plan a transatlantic or repositioning cruise that goes from the USA to Rome. I've done it a couple of times and had a great time. You would really enjoy it.
