How to explain complicated things in a simple way. She's the most articulate person in her field. She has the Prince street cred and now the scientific background, she really is one of a kind. Everything I have read of her, or anything I have heard her say has always made me feel better about my abilities and always allowed me to move one little step forward. Protect her at all costs.

What a fascinating personal journey. This information is a treasure. I am intrigued by the topic music cognition - will definitely look into the field. And I absolutely love your description of how a compressor can be used as a way for sound to sit in the background. The analogies about framing a shot for a film and how the various visual changes impact the perspective and emotion of the viewers' experience are wonderful. As one would storyboard a video or film, it seems to me there would be equal value in storyboarding a song.
