Maybe legendary animals are animals who used to be in the city of light, out chose the life of an animal. They would likely be rare, and they are very glowy.

Wolf name idea: Zandaka, because they look a bit like yin-yang and Zandaka is Japenese for balance. Maybe Zan for short. I know they have a name, but I have a feeling it’ll be a while till that’s completely revealed.
