In this video, I talk about the importance of ensuring your dry powder fire extinguisher does not clump up inside
being that the powder will sit over time and end up being stuck in one place
it's also extremely important to ensure that the extinguisher nozzle does not become blocked with insect nests or mud if your extinguisher is mounted in farm or plant equipment
every few months, I carry out my rigorous preventative maintenance routine of removing my ABC dry powder extinguishers from my van and spending approximately 5 minutes with a soft faced rubber mallet tapping the bottom and sides of the extinguisher to mitigate powder clumping
also, I check the pressure gauge and nozzle for obstructions
