📺WOW! Look at Charles Gibson I can’t believe even back in the 80’s he was on ABC NEWS covering Ted Koppel for Nightline📺! 📺His suit and his look was so nice back then.📺 📺And after all the years covering Peter Jennings for World News Tonight his program was World news till his retirement.📺 📺ABC NEWS will not be the same without him📺. 📺Miss you Charles Gibson📺!

When Rock Hudson was revealed as having AIDS, I personally think it really put the crisis into another level of fear. Personally, the friends in my life whom I've lost, some thought if a rich celebrity couldn't overcome and beat AIDS...they wouldn't stand a chance. I'm not sure how long it took Reagan to say AIDS, regardless that Administration dropped the ball in a huge way!

I tend to side with Republicans more in terms of political idealogy, but I will say that it was despicable for Ronald Reagan to basically ignore the AIDS epidemic until he was basically out of office. Regardless of whether you agree with or condone gay lifestyles, gay people and those with AIDS stricken through other ways, are human beings, Americans, and tax payers who deserved complete support from our government. A lot of lives may have been saved had the Reagan administration been more proactive about the virus.

What choices were they ? It was said he caught the virus through a blood transfusion after a heart attack 1981 , not the out of touch comment you made !

@@tur74d56 I highly suggest that you do your research. Tennis great Arthur Ashe caught the deadly HIV virus through a blood transfusion while undergoing heart surgery. Rock Hudson caught the HIV virus through his promiscuous lifestyle that he CHOSE to live. I was around back in 1985, the year Rock Hudson died. Before he died he admitted it. Have a nice day.👍
