It was not just about the money she gave it was that she took the time to meet this kids and just the connection she made with that one young man was priceless.

I'm not understanding as to why people are complaining because she donated $30k. I highly doubt that this will be here last time ever making a donation to a charity! $30k is definitely a lot of money and can do a lot of good!! There are parents out there working hard to make ends meet and stretch a $1 out of $0.10. No matter how big or how small every little bit helps!

Linoge Z Well she wouldn't be the first and she surely will not be the last to donate money to make herself look good - but I don't know if that's the case here, I don't know her! I agree with Joar Hanninen on this one about it being a plus for the homeless.

To the people who say that 30.000 dollars isn't enough, I wish to say that this is only one part of the episode. The millionaire usually visits 3 or 4 or places during the show and gives money to all of them. So the total amount would be closer to 100.000 in total. Also, 30.000 dollars would help a lot of people. And ask yourself also, how much have you given yourself??

Yes exactly! Giving away a big sum of money won't really help them in the long run, it makes her feel like a better person, but the ones who receive the money won't really know how to handle it and probably end up like they once where, and soon. Unless they use it to rent a place and can find a job because of it, that would be great. But they probably do need some guidance either way.

I'm glad she gave the 30k but I was disappointed with her. All she did was volunteer for one day then she reached out dropped her check and had her feel good moment. To be honest I think this was just an extension of her business of selling herself. Now if she continued to quietly and anonymously volunteer without fanfare then yes I would have been very impressed with her. In fact that's what I thought this video was all about. I'm glad she put a spotlight on the organization that is one the ground every day helping these people.

This series was wonderful to watch I was homeless living on skid row with my daughter who unfortunately I had to give up to foster care so she could have a place to lay her head safely and I didn't have to worry I still am trying to get her back I got a job, a place to live, and going to school part-time. So I feel for these human beings not everyone that's homeless are on drugs, or alcoholics, some people have unfortunate events like losing their jobs, loss of a family member or home, it's sad how we are judged for our predicament or the way we look and I still include myself in it due to me being apart f it so long am I ashamed absolutely not nor am I embarrassed to say it because homelessness can happen to anyone most people in the U.S are just one paycheck away from that experience. I'm glad that there are people out here that really care and that makes me happy!!!!! I now try to help the homeless and listen to their stories and do what I can for them it made me who I am today a human being with a heart!!!!!!!

As much as that makes me smile. that's what alot of people say, and never end up doing. You're alot better off the way you are. Money corrupts people and blinds them of real justice. You are part of the common folk and know how it feels. Once you eliminate that it does'nt matter what you say afterwards. Your money will always speak on your behalf and your words mean nothing to anyone anymore to everyone under you. Though you may be one of the few that actually just want to make a difference, But that all depends on you.

H0useH0ldH4cker IF YOU ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT IT, the existence of taxes actually deters most from actually attempting to even attain jobs, its called the POVERTY TRAP and taxes removes money from the the economy, it reduces investments and potential investments that could provide more jobs you could think off! interest rate itself provides numerous issues, i am no economist but history told me that once upon a time not too long ago, the land of the Turks(turkey) was a place where everyone had and clothing, and food shelter, there was a mosque charity pot/pit and it was always full of gold! that specific time period they did not oppress people with taxes!

My Mom has done very well for herself and never once gave 30k to ANYONE! I think this lady is an angel for what she has done, maybe she is a millionaire but she is 100% self made. She knows the value of money because she worked her ass off to make a lot of it and her giving 30,000 shows how much she really cares. To anyone who has actually written a 30,000 check to charity this is not for you, only the ignorant people who say "30k isnt that much money to a rich person"

The desire for more money is a funny one. The moment x dollars turns into a "fair" amount of money to give without seeming "cheap" is a subjective one. There is no objective measure to say, "Ok, at this much money it is now acceptable by all people and this will not let the person who gives the money look greedy." Because of this, it tells me something about those people who say such things as, "Oh, she should have given more," as it seems they don't recognize the difference what she gave does make. Not saying those people themselves are greedy, but they may not be appreciative of what good there is in the world. Seeing the world in an overly cynical way is not a good way to live, I do it all the time so I would know, heh.

I'd take out a loan and give a $30K tax deductible charitable donation away if I get to have an hour long commercial on cable tv during prime-time, advertising my services.

WTF 30,000 dollars???????????? Is she having a laugh????? That was more like she was laughing in their faces to show how much cash she has!! OK it was a nice gesture but COMMON 30,000 with all her millions. WTF is 30,000 guna do to help homeless people :)))) It may help for a very short time but in the end it aint guna change shit for the homeless. She could have offered a million dollars out of her millions then i might have smiled ;)

steven duong Amen. How much has that person given? I've given so much and I keep on giving, not to huge church temples where the pastors drive Range Rovers, but to those who are down and out. That is what pleases God. He said, "whoever gives to the least of me, I will give onto you." Well done faithfull servant is what I want to hear when I die.

+gbornfree reallyfree happiness is also giving - not receiving; it's about spending your time with your family, friends or the people you love; and happiness is also when you see, that you made someone else happy ;) And you are absolutely right, my friend :)

funny firefly right, ; i recently lost my mom, but I'm joyful because the memories she left it wasn't about money, stress, work, work, work; but about kindness, love, laughs, huggs, kisses, that things made us what we are...humans, sentient beings, just one of us worth more than all the money of the world

+gbornfree reallyfree I'm really sorry of your loss... I lost my grandma and she also left only good memories for my :) She always made me laugh when I was in a bad mood and she was always there when no one else was. She learned me how to laugh, how to always smile and how to make others smile ♥ (I also gained a great love for animals from her :) ) She learned me the things, that my parents couldn't ♥
