A good friend of mine lost a close relative in this way. There were signs posted. No warning. He was a good swimmer drown in front of his kids 😢😢❤.

If you are ever caught in a rip tide go with the flow, don't try to fight it or you will exhaust yourself. It will release you farther down the beach. Float on the top of the water if you can. from a Florida resident with love.

I am not a gun owner. However, I do think law-abiding citizens should be able to own a gun/s, just not military grade weapons.. NOBODY needs, or should be allowed to own that powerful of a weapon unless they are active duty servicemen/women in combat.

Quite a few people die in the rip currents each year. But I NEVER hear of any advice about to wear life jackets when in the ocean. How can the state of Florida and other locations with rip currents not have a campaign to promote life jacket usage. NEVER go out above your knees in the ocean without a life preserver!!

I was blissfully ignorant of rip currents until I moved to IN along Lake MI. There are drownings every year despite postings and life guards warning. It pulls you away so quick. I am a strong swimmer butt I still pay attention. Because it changes so fast.
