After getting pregnant my husband's company wasn't doing well and we are kind of broke. I have a high risk pregnancy and cannot continue working. He found a job but it's just enough to pay the bills (some of them). So sometimes we don't have anything to eat besides some bread or rice with eggs... We have cried multiple times and prayed for this to be over... Even with all of that happening, it has never occurred to me to do something like that. I thank God our baby has received the basics (clothing, diapers, wipes) from our friends and family who know we are struggling. And I know that as soon as I am able to work again things will get better... It's hard, but I would never steal stuff to keep up with the lifestyle I had. You just adapt and think of legal ways to get out of the situation.

I bought my stroller from toys R us. I was a young dad with no money and no car in a small apartment.... as a new dad, I want to give the best to my baby so I work hard. I went from working 40 hours a week to 90 hours a week. My daughter, age 5, speaks 3 languages. I own paid in full 2007 camry and 2020 rav4. I am now in the steps of buying a 4 bedroom house. I can't imagine stealing when you can work. One of my jobs is picking up trash and cleaning toilets. The worst part is the baby won't use a stroller it's whole life is all a status thing. I personally I am 36, and I still have my clothing from high school. I have no social media or cable TV. I don't compare myself to others. I have no debt and 3 bank accounts. I am only 1 man from immigrants with no collage and no government help. There are no excuses for any Americans.

These people are habitual criminals and shoplifters you can tell by the way they just calmly take it and walk out. These same types have been stealing their whole life and getting away with it. Parents too i bet. The fact that the woman finds it funny and tries to act helpless instead of pressing charges shows how these people have been able to be criminals their whole life

These individuals have done this before, you can tell by their modus operandi, my brother. They are undoubtedly speaking on their cellphones as both she and he are carrying them. She should never be let to see her child again, and the obviously guilty parties should be put in jail.

Diane, while you were outside 'helping a customer', could it be that this patron was 'the distractor' and part of the theft? Pro-Shoplifters often work in teams. The man's arrival was well-timed. And, the pregnant lady was so calm about stealing. If I were the shopkeeper, I wouldn't be laughing about a $1,599 stroller being stolen. It's time to secure your merchandise with cables or zip-ties (as a minimum deterrent). This high-end $troller should be easy to spot, if the word got out about this theft. I'm guessing that the pregnant thief (unless that was a 'fake bulge') wanted the stroller for herself. Otherwise, it may appear in online 'want ads' for sale.

Many years ago, I entered a particular Walmart and the first thing I saw was 2 loss prevention dudes trying to pick up a pregnant woman who refused to get up and just kept shouting “Please, I’m pregnant!” as a ticket to not get arrested for shoplifting. She ended up getting arrested and everyone clapped! 👏🏻

I just want to say _thanks_ for NOT blurring their faces. This time we actually get to see their faces. Preggo 'Mom' was video chatting _man_ the whole time. They were definitely LOOKING for that specific stroller. Too bad the owner _trusted_ her customers and didn't want to _offend_ them by using security tags...but had cameras. Maybe the customer she went to 'help' was in on this, too.
