Depending on which country, they are many times dying, being extorted for money, raped and tortured when they try and stay and fight. I do understand not everyone can just up and leave and should seek asylum the legal way but it can take months or years. Their leaders, presidents etc. are to blame. But at times the criminals threaten and kill them too. Viscous cycle 😑
