Tampa is a city rich in its diverse history. Neighborhoods like Tampa Heights and Ybor City are ripe with African-American culture, but thanks to urban growth in Tampa; those areas do not look quite the same as they once did.

I live in Riverside heights which we also call Tampa heights I'm so sick of these f****** people coming in and buying all of the houses and building these big massive houses in our neighborhood. I agree it's taken away from the culture and the stuff that we've had for a long time ago. They're making our neighborhoods look like something that we are not familiar with. The main problems are with the realtor companies they are buying these properties selling them to contractors contractors will build on the properties and then this is what it boils down to. And some of the Realtors and investors will lie their ass off to get a property. We had a lot in Riverside heights and just sold it in 2020. The investor that came to see us at the time we didn't know he was an investor said that he was interested in a lot to build a home for his family. We sold him the lot after going back and forth for a few weeks. And 2 months after he purchased a lot he sold it for more money. Plenty of scammers out there it's a very sad situation

@@southern842 So when white people move out of neighborhoods it's called "white flight". When white people move into neighborhoods it's called "gentrification". You see? They can't win! This is all anti-whitism with the dog whistles of "diversity", "multi-cultural" and "support black-owned businesses".
@infantebenji2 жыл бұрын
@@kommisar. its not necessarily racism but classism in the US unfortunately white have greater capital than black. Yes when they move out its white flight they took their money with them to the suburbs and the people who stay behind don't have the economic power to keep the area thrive,( poverty and crime goes in hand in hands) and when white people move back its gentrification I blame local governments they should encourage the locals to keep their houses instead of selling only increase property tax on new constructions and required developers to set aside to 30% of units affordable for locals. Yes Black people can be racist but can't practice racism as they don't have the economic means to do so, black supporting black business is a way to make sure the economic float ability of their groups who face difficulty in getting loans and who's business more likely to failed withins a few years
@kommisar.2 жыл бұрын
@@infantebenji Ah, great, you're one of those woke nutjobs/idiots who think blacks can't be racist because somehow racism is only something that applies to those with more money. Does that mean some poor white person is still somehow able to be racist and a rich person still can't despite having a lot of money? That doesn't make any sense at all. You're just demonstrating the same anti-whitism I was just referring to in your bullshit. Racism simply means any sort of prejudicial, discriminatory attitude or behavior against a person or group of people based on race. By definition, blacks are just as capable of being racist as whites. According to your dumbassery, whites can't be racist since Asians and Indians have more money than them (not to mention the poor white vs. rich black example above). This is nothing more than an excuse to grant blacks privilege while justifying your own anti-white racism. Like I said, when whites leave neighborhoods it's called white flight, and when they move into neighborhoods it's called gentrification. Both are condemned by the left, and this is yet another example of how wokeism has no end game other than totalitarianism/communism. There is no pleasing the woke mob. Whites leave a neighborhood, they're racist. Whites move into a neighborhood, they're racist. This is blatant anti-whitism. Government intervention has done far more harm when it comes to making housing affordable. Markets should be left free from government intervention. Prices should be dictated by the suppliers and the consumers. That is no different when it comes to the real estate market. I'm not sure why you think it's somehow acceptable to say you should support a black-owned business because it's own and run by a black person. That is by definition racist. You're just encouraging giving blacks privilege. I don't give two shits about the business owner's skin color or race. I will support it based on its product, customer service and whatnot -- the same things I base my patronage on when it comes to any other business. It's not my fault or white society's fault if blacks have more trouble getting loans or running a successful business. Blacks should strive to get better credit and come up with better business plans if they want to increase their chances of getting a loan and having their business succeed.

@dolladp776910 ай бұрын
REDLINING is what makes gentrification and urban renewal possible. Basically zoning a neighborhood “unsafe” just because a person of color lives,works or even travels down the street constantly in that particular neighborhood. Once they label that area “red” the property value determined by the banks , the city and other key players takes a dive ! Then they can buy it all up for cheap and sell it high, creating an artificial market. The suburbs failed and they can’t carry there own weight due to how out spread they are built, city’s need density and new infrastructure for new residents to support itself thru tax money. Its not as innocent as some want you to believe! Systemic racism IS the root to this problem. How can a house be worth more or less solely just because of the owners skin tone???? Again redlining!!
@jerrymylove17542 жыл бұрын
Property in Tampa was dirt cheap for decades. Some of these people have been here for decades and multiple generations. At no time did someone in their family say maybe we should buy a house? Since there’s ten adults in the home , if we all worked a job and put a few hundred towards the mortgage we could have secure housing situation.
