Regarding Your question about how long it takes to get over the passing of your father, from my personal perspective, the answer is never. As time goes by the hurt softens, but you never completely get over the ache in your heart. Strength and love to you, your family and Bruce of course.

I lost my husband of 50 years to cancer in 2020, four months later my stepson was found dead so I’ve walked with you into the woods sharing in the simplicity of peace (plus you had Bruce). Remember the movie It’s a Wonderful Life? “Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?” Mr Edward’s gift to you has spread to 100k. Many, many lives~

Awwww, what a wonderful and heartfelt sentiment, gives inspiration to all of us from both Dad doing the camping and son giving the admiration and the encouragement. Love and light to the both of you, and Tony I’m definitely a fan I’m going camping this weekend South Carolina… And my sons gated backyard… L O L… But I’m really pitching a tent and a tarp and I’m sleeping outside and I have a portable fire pit.! The only thing I don’t have is a little Brucie… But I do have a brewski😉

Your videos have helped me deal with my poor health, allowing me to enjoy the outdoors and camping through your videos. Additionally, you've encouraged me to improve my relationship with my own father, who I was estranged with. I wasn't as close to my Dad as you were to yours, seeing you miss him made me feel my Mom. I can say the break downs are like ocean wave calm relaxing or they can be great big crashing waves on us. Meditation will help you with this as it helped me and yes your right we truly never get over their passing but say a prayer each time they are always with you. God Bless -Giovanni Bethlehem PA

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, your love for and your appreciation for your father and his wisdom. I had to stop the video at that point, especially when you spoke about grief. You help some of us in sharing your story. My Mom died of pancreatic cancer, stage 4, at the age of 70 in March of 2008. She was much loved. We were told she had 2 weeks to live. She lived four months after we were told that. I don't know that we ever got over it. I was her caregiver because my daughter and I lived with her. As you told your story about your father, I thought about my mother. So thank you. I thank your father. Poet Nikki Giovanni wrote, "One ounce of truth benefits like a ripple in a pond, when things change, remember I smiled." I remember my Mom's smile. Remember your father's smile. I thank him.

Tony you’re so entertaining. Bruce is such a good companion to have during your camping adventures. Again, you are a joy to watch even when there are crazy things that happen that doesn’t go the way they should.

Grats on 100k subs Tony. You earned it. You and Brucie have brought so much enjoyment to us and you have been extremely helpful in sorting out the best gear for our individual and specific needs. I have to say I agree 100% on current events and was glad to hear it. I have actually been very vocal about them. Your dad must have been an incredible man and I'm sure he will always be a powerful force guiding you and forever in your heart and thoughts. I feel honored that you shred him with us. I pray that the lord keep you and your family safe and healthy and that you can enjoy many more years of adventuring.

Regarding Ukraine, Russia too, it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on the economics of this, the impacts of sanctions, the corruption, Russian financing of Trump (no surprise some in US are rabid Putin supporters). My guess is you have some deeper insights given your financial/market background. Most folks know nothing about Russian history or what's been going on there, unfortunately (I'm working on Russian history now, it's a struggle).

I will watch shorter videos of bushcraft/camping, but prefer longer ones, as long as they don't get boring. Alot of them "no talking" and "ASMR" videos are not for me, but I have seen a couple of them that actually weren't boring. I like when the people talk. Explaining things I seen being done, having simple conversation about something random, etc. And I love when there's a bit of humor, both deliberate and accidental. It's also nice when someone puts bloopers at the end. Like some of Kent Rollins' videos, he has bloopers at the end.
