So I’ve actually never heard the original. After watching this video, I watched the original. This song eclipses the original in my opinion. Being a rock version brought it higher for me. Great job to the band and the signer, you nailed it.

I think it depends on whether you heard the overproduced album version or the indie version that started with a response to a song challenge. But this version definitely rocks!

I cannot believe how hitting the proverbial nail on the head is for me! My ex did exactly the same thing so I just started dating other guys. I was like cool whatever. Wonderful cover as always! My favorite part about it is that it sounds more heartbroken, in a sense. It feels more regretful, more of a "maybe I still love her in some weird way" vibe compared to the more brash and "I don't really care" nature of the original. Definitely goes as hard as the original, but in a different way. Keep up the great work!
