My sister is a grade school teacher, and my sister is a horrible person. I feel sorry for the kids who come in contact with her. But, she managed to retire after 30 years. So had no business being around kids. This is what happens when you don't pay enough....you get some bad apples, clinging on. Edit: I just wanted to burst the bubble on the altruistic, noble status of teachers.

@traviselrod7803
@traviselrod7803 25 күн бұрын
That’s a dumb argument. The highest paid superintendent in Texas makes $536,775 in a district with 7,697 teachers. If you were to take every dollar the superintendent’s salary and divide it up among all of the teachers, that’s less than $70 per teacher for an entire year. Superintendent’s salary is not causing a teacher pay issue.

@@traviselrod7803We could be saving half a million for a better one then. He looked well fed and feels so bad about letting even the custodian go! 😂 Give me a break. I would of started with the principals then. You could budget $500,000 by getting rid of those. That way the superintendent can still see his ex wife on the weekends and eat lobster and the school can pay teachers so they can buy their own school supplies! How swell would that be?
@UPFD91
@UPFD91 25 күн бұрын
@traviselrod7803 you are talking about 1 school district out of tens of thousands around the country. And not to mention all the other higher-ups making bank, to basically do nothing.

@@UPFD91 Firstly, I would like to see where that is happening. But more importantly, let’s take your scenario as fact. Even in your scenario of a superintendent making $250,000 in a district with 300 teachers, if you took every dollar of that money and gave it to the teachers, that is around $833 per year for each teacher, which works out to $70 a month. Does $70 a month solve the teacher pay issue?

Why do you want to Fund a system where they take your property if you don’t pay for the reeducation of your children. The public school agenda is not for you or your children. Especially if you are low income. The school system will teach the children to be mask wearing slaves. Why would you want your children to go there to that place that looks like a prison with no windows. And has an agenda that is anti everything you believe in.

The fact that America is like 23rd in the world for education is embarrassing!! Same with our health care! All the "systems" put in place to ensure that these things run are actually taking all the money away from these things. It's a closed loop where all the money stays within the system and never makes it to the actual destination. Why can't we learn from other countries that are doing much better at this?

I taught school 1986-1992 so I can sympathize certainly to this story. Losing a job is never fun and I hope these teachers get new jobs. But the blame has to be placed at the feet of these school boards and Superintendents. This money was always going to end sometime. You should never staff your schools with money that's given to you by the government. Schools have to be run by property taxes. Maybe now these schools will learn.

'Schools have to be run by property taxes.' I think that is the core problem. The more deprived the region the less local revenue, thus less funding for public education. Communities with chronic lack of cash are less inclined to increase the funding for their own schools. The funding has to be put on a broader footing.

Yea close the schools and give the parents back their hard earned money. Public schools are funded by taking your home if you don’t pay. The ooor are the least to benefit. Think about it. Free lunches, free bus rides, they are taught to be beggars and paupers and they are told it is “equity”. And they believe it. They think Teader joes and whole foods should come to their neighbors goods so they can spend their EBT cards. The public system has an agenda few would agree with but alas parents don’t know nor ask what their children are being taught. Keep your kids home and get your money. Ask for your money back. you I’ll have plenty left over to educate your children, your property, properly and sell the way you see fit. . They are not learning anything anyway. Test scores prove it and that is the agenda… poor people suffer the most. Those in Africa get a. Better education in a grass hut with a black board and chalk and pencils and little paper. . Today, illegals are brought in under the migration education policy, suck the money out of the program and other areas. Migrant programs were developed to help a very small group with education, food, community out reach and in some cases housing. With illegals coming into the school system under the act in mass numbers school districts are drowning. This has been going on for years and nobody is talking about it. I have seen this firsthand. An illegal student enters the school and receives one-on-one instruction from multiple teaching staff, SPED programs, and counselors. While the children who need one one-on-one instruction are pushed to the side due to not enough staff. Districts are letting this happen ofcouse because they receive extra funding for every illegal student they take in.

Huge mistake. Lay off teachers they’ll never come back when you need them. Find funding.

@@hrhtreeoflife4815 If they get laid off they can all just go on unemployment and from there they will have plenty of time to find jobs. If they are making 60k as teachers unemployment will be nice big fat FREE paychecks.

China understands that education is one of the most important services a central government can provide, as it boosts both the well being of its citizenry and its economy. This is why China is working on plans to provide universal free education as well as health care. In the US, the MIC does not require the gov't to provide educational services, because it can depend on its military to "educate" young people with war skills.

Ironic, considering this is directly a result of policies these teachers all voted for. They got what they voted for.

Running on the lie that all teachers are democrats? I used to be a teacher in a red state and was the only liberal teacher everywhere I went. It was easy to tell because the others couldn’t stop bringing up Jesus or pushing local Republican candidates. This is a national problem hitting red areas as hard as blue ones. Not surprisingly only one side is educated enough to realize it.

Great comment. I taught at a low performing school. The students in my class outpaced the rest of the school in reading growth, on average, seven-fold. My SOPHOMORES out-scored all other sections of the school in overall reading levels except for one section of AP LANG Juniors and one section of AP LIT Seniors. This was in a high school of over 2000 students. Your comment holds no water. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Remember when teacher and the union pushed for remote learning? Remember when they put the teacher ahead of the student? We’re currently in a situation where the schools think they know what’s best for other peoples children, pushing agenda and politics! You get what you sow!
