She deserves a defamation settlement even though they retracted the statement. It damaged her life and can't be reversed. She clearly can't work the same because of what happened. God bless her.

When she said "i'm still in there" it shook me. I have never heard anyone put it that way, and it is so so accurate. PTSD robs you of your every day life, and your mind is stuck in an unsafe and scary world. That defense mechanism just never turns off, and it is so exhausting

To the lady in this video, from someone who has PTSD related to school, I can assure you this much: Yes, you are going to feel dead inside for months, possibly years. You're going to feel helpless, broken, and lost. But please remember, this will pass eventually. This will pass and you'll come out of it even stronger. You can make it out alive and well. You may live with this trauma in the back of your mind. But the overwhelming feeling of regret and misery won't last forever. Stay with the ones you love, seek the help you need, and whatever you do... Don't bury it. Cry, scream, sob, talk, rant, or tell about what happened. Do whatever you need to do to get it all out of your system. You can heal and move past this.

I’m not gonna lie when she said to her therapist what she said when she rode past the school and she said I’m still in there that hit me and I understood what she meant by that because look at her in the video you see she got long hair black hair you know she looks pretty healthy mentally an interview her hair is gray and short from all the stress and PTSD and that happened with in months she’s going through some really bad PTSD

That poor lady I hope she’s getting help for her trauma.

So they used the excuse that " A teacher left the door open" like if the door was closed he couldn't shoot a window and get in.. or the glass beside the doors.. they look for a scapegoat to draw attention away from the police waiting too long to go into the school. The blame here is the shooter and the police.

There’s an innocence in all of us in some way, shape or form. A belief that if you’re a good person and do what you should, everything will be fine and you’ll stay out of trouble. And then something happens that strips that veil from you and you can never go back to where you were just seconds before. That’s what makes me sad for her. She will never feel that level of safety or comfort ever again and in its place there will always be a level of anxiety that sits there and vibrates

The fact that law enforcement blame her just to cover up their mistakes is just disgusting. They make the whole town turn up against her without any proof.. I also heard about this rumor but I never once blamed her unless I saw proof and My gut feeling was right.. may you heal and be in peace you are also brave woman that did what you can to save those children, especially when that shooter was coming towards you in that building

I have experienced trauma. I just want to tell that lady: It's going to feel like you died for a long while but don't let go of the hand of God. God will heal your wound if you let him and whenever your ready. You did nothing wrong and there is absolutely nothing you could've done against a firearm.
